I like what a few folks on the internet have done to tweak the Rams version into what is shown on the left.

I also like the one on the right.

I'd be happy with both compared to what the team came up with.

I submit that these issues don't matter.

Here's my proof.

Which two LA professional teams (apart from the Rams) have the longest, most storied history?

Dodgers
Lakers

Let's think about those names, shall we?

The Dodgers' name is short for "Trolley Dodgers," a reference to people avoiding the maze of Brooklyn trolleys in the team's city of origin. What does the term "Dodger" have to do with LA? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

The Lakers are, of course, named for their original location as well. It is a reference to Minnesota's moniker, the "Land of 10,000 Lakes." What does that have to do with LA. Again... nothing (making the term "Lake Show" particularly ridiculous).

So, in the end, if you love the team... its name, logos, etc. need not make sense.

The defense rests.

Are there people saying that the Rams as a team name doesn't make sense regionally? I didn't think that was what the backlash was about.

Seriously, Mok... lighten up. I was just having a bit of fun with some historical observations. No need to overthink it.

Your argument has nothing to do with the issue. And I always thought they were dodging cars in Brooklyn.

Sigh. :roll2:
And I always thought they were dodging cars in Brooklyn.

I don’t think that was a big issue in 1895 when the club adopted the name.

Well we're definitely taking it in the shorts from the rest of the NFL community. This one from some Whiner/Cowgirl/Saints co-workers.....
