And did that work? Did they stop asking him about his plans?

I'm going to trust that, if he stays, he's all in.

Precisely why he should zip it. I hope he stays and I hope he can tweak things so that thing better fit him.

Of course not. Sharks love blood in the water.
That's why he should have kept a lid on it, especially with Schrager.

So I go back to what I said. He has never brought it up himself. He's just answering reporters questions. If you or anybody else wants to blame him for that, that's fine. I don't.

Also, a lot of people around here are acting like this was a major topic of conversation all season. Was it really? I feel like it came up the last few weeks when the season was virtually over anyway.

Apparently he brought it up with Pete Schrager and that's what started this. He may have been a little loose lipped around the team as well because Jordan picked up on it.
So yes or no. I'm not looking to blame anyone anyway, I just want to see it end and I really hope he stays.

Doesn’t look good when you tell your staff they can seek jobs elsewhere.

He mentioned his wife a lot in that statement. Like something’s going on. So I don’t know. But we’ll see.

Rams better have some stuff in place. I didn’t like the statement. Seems like we are going to get some press conference that I don’t want to see. Talking about the great opportunity he had in L.A.

Unless he was planning on a complete staff revamp, reading those tea leaves, he's leaving.

To bad Staley, Taylor, Lafleur et al aren't still here.

How many of McVay's assistants have previously sought (and acquired) jobs elsewhere?

Seems pretty status quo to me.
