I stand corrected. It was a great throw watching it again. When I watched it live, it looked like he threw it high, but Thomas jumped a tad too soon.

goff's 35-yard pass (in the air) to thomas was a dime, thomas flat-out misjudged/dropped it.

Who's doubting the pass? It was incredible, put in a spot that only the WR could make the play, and he didn't.
Wouldn't call it a drop though, would have been an amazing catch at the same time. Don't know why it has to be one or the other

In other words they designed it around that and the OL handled it--they were good at that kind of game. A total mess does nothing . right. If an OL like Brady's or Kurt's that year in ARZ can play that game, then they can play that game. It was a good transformation for KW too since he was renowned before Arz for holding the ball.

Meanwhile KW did not do well when he played behind much shakier OLs including St.L 2002 and NY 2004.

in 2002 bulger posted a 6-1 record, a 101.5 qb rating, and led the rams to an average of 28.5 offensive points per game which was the equivalent of a #1 offensive scoring ranking behind that "much shakier" oline so, yeah, clearly the oline was an issue.

Wouldn't hurt to run a few quicker release plays..

The screen to Gurley early in the game was a beauty. Wish we could see more of that

whitworth got his ass kicked by olb floyd on the play, goff did a helluva job getting the ball to gurley:

speaking of whit, did he and mack agree to take a breather on this play?

Wasn't that by design? Whitworth jumped to outside leverage to make sure the defender went inside which is what the play required.
