I still am!!

I was traveling last weekend and forgot about them though.

Some friends here in San Diego love them too and are going to the games.

I’ll watch them this weekend.

Was listening to John Clayton as a guest on the Mighty 1090 earlier ...

... they were discussing how the AAF is hemorrhaging money and could even shut down before Sunday’s games.

Haven’t looked anything up yet.

Heard anything about this?

I've watched up until last weekend but I think that loss took them out of any contention. The uniforms looked really sharp though.

The Martz magic seems to have faded though. At least with the personnel he's got. Bercovici just isn't that good. Can't go through 3 QB's, your goal line RB and big play receiver and expect to keep winning though. I think they lost a lineman or two also. In a league that's constantly going to be dealing with depth issues, getting riddled with injuries with what you do have to work with is a lot to overcome.

I just don't have a feel for this league. Seems like every time you turn around there are reports of money problems. It blows me away that they could have even attempted this sort of thing without a solid, if not strong, tv contract on over the air AND streaming platforms.

Top 2 for each division, Fleet are 1 game back from Arizona for 2nd spot. Fleet play Salt Lake this week, while Arizona plays San Antonio. Could see them tied after this weekend, and they play each other last game of the season, so they're still right in the mix.
But......

Bercovici isn't good, you are right about that. Its a shame their top WR missed last week, not sure if he'll be back. He and SPRUCE!!! make a decent tandem, but would be better off with Nelson but that ship apparently sailed. Berco was their 2nd choice, Nelson was 3rd. Other teams are doing fine without their top QB choice. He just doesn't have it. Seems like he faces a rush and just floats it out there. Painful to watch....

Funny, I don't know anything about the money problems until I come on here. While its certainly true that they have problems, I don't think it affects the play on the field. TV coverage I think has been pretty good, where I think the league has failed miserably is in the app. Football has become so mainstream over fantasy football, its amazing to me that the ability to see stats in real time was so overlooked.
I guess the AAF was banking on the NFL partnering with them, and that just cant/wont happen.
But overall, it sure seems like its a 1 and done thing. If they even make it to a championship game

If the Fleet win this week (Which they should) and Arizona loses to 1st place San Antonio (Which they could), that would set up the last game to be a winner takes the 2nd spot game, regardless of week 9 outcome
Would be a fun environment
