Blame the NFL, blame the Rams, whatever. Just can’t compehend how it was ok to do half

it's a jersey thing, a stupid nfl rule, to protect merchandisers iirc... seems to me that the rams thought it was better than nothing and just went with it, so they could at least offer some kind of interim change, some kind of freshness, excitement, especially after the dismal return to l.a. inaugural 4-12 season, something to get fans excited.

what i'm wondering tho is if the new uni plan for the stadium was actually the blue & whites, with blue/yellow as throwbacks, seems that the rams got the blue/white theme rolling a while back, a teaser of sorts... but instead, after the butt ugly 2016 season, they felt they had to do something before the stadium uni plan, so they rolled out the blue/white, before they wanted to, and will now roll with blue/yellow for the new stadium unis, with blue/white as possible throwbacks?

You're pathological at this point.

Which rules don't they seem to know?

such ugliness!!! the horror!!!!

seriously tho, i really didn't think the white shirts were that bad, and the rams wore them in 12 of the 17 games they played last season... the eyesores (imo) were the blue tops, which the rams sported only twice in 17 games.

Mabye, but i don't think so.

The first overwhelming feedback was how much everyone hates the St. Louis gold, so the Rams proceeded to remove it from as much as they could. I don't think it was a move to blue and white as much as it was a move away from the gold.

The other overwhelming feedback is how much the old timers love the Ferragamo color scheme. I can't see them going against that.

But we'll know when we know...

What doesn’t make sense is that the current scheme is associated with a decade of LOSING. Moving to LA was the time to rebrand to break from the past to try to cultivate a lost generation of LA fans.

Knowing that they might have company in LA before the stadium would have opened is even more a reason to drop the LOSER uniforms

This!

But the white ones look better than any other current option for this season.

could be, but so much of the return to l.a. ad campaign was blue/white, not blue/yellow (which could have easily been the case), stadium graphics, endzone, official website... i never got a sense of a return to the ferragamo's era from the campaign, but instead a return to the "classic" rams of the coliseum, the blue/white rams... anyhoo, they better not put phukin' digital-like numbers on their new jerseys, to give them a "modern" feel, a la bucs, seahawks, etc...

how so? they barely have any gold left in their unis, and they certainly have squashed it, for the most part, in their graphics.

Well, the mismatched uniforms and inability to switch to the throwbacks seems like a couple right off the top.

Look at all the changes they've made in the past decade, look where we are now, look how we're stuck, look how they still haven't got uniforms that a majority of the fans want to see...how can you defend them and think they have a plan and have had one all along? There's no evidence to support that idea.

What we've seen is reactionary and either uninformed or misinformed.

Would it have been that hard to have had the throwbacks ready for the move to LA and then apply for a re-branding level change for 2019/2020 at the same time? I suppose it would have since by their own admission, they have just now started the design process with Nike. Maybe the league would approve an overhaul to the uniforms without any details but based on their other restrictions, I wouldn't bet on it.

I 2nd this !!

Also, it sure does seem like B&W is the direction even if the Colts don't like the idea. Those in charge must get the blue right though and of course fatten up those horns. Can't be said enough.
