I think the Aint's fans have come to the realization it's over and nothing can be done. I don't hear as much whining as we did on earlier in the week.

Do you blame them? I don't think a day or two is enough time to come to grips with having something seemingly taken away/stolen. I'm still not over someone stealing my PK Ripper from the bike racks and that was 30 years ago. I don't think about it very often but I doubt I'll ever be 100% "over" it.

Same thing with the Rams moving to St. Louis. Same thing with SBXXXVI. They'll always sting, even it it's just a little bit.

Come on, Billy. It's a football game. I understand the fans are (and should be) upset...but making this a legal battle? Stop. It's a game.

One other take away. He bring up the point that the NFL decided to listen to the fans and change the catch rule and altered the officiating because the fans were complaining about too many flags.

I for one don't like the idea of going against THE team who bends the rules as far as they can bend them with officials swallowing their whistles. That could be a recipe for disaster.
The Rams have to come in and pound the crap out of these f'ers early and often to see which way the wind is blowing.

These will be my last words on this subject:

Things that the Rams did to win the game...

1. Outgained Saints 378-290
2. Had 5.6 yards/play to the Saints' 4.5 yards/per play.
3. Forced a key turnover in OT.
4. Had 2 sacks to the Saints' 1.
5. Outscored Saints 26-10 after the first quarter.

What did the Saints do to win?

Well, on a drive in which they could have run the clock down and kicked a go-ahead FG with seconds on the clock, they threw an incompletion, had an unproductive running play, then threw a pass on 3rd down. If, instead of going for the receiver, NRC goes for the ball, he may have had a pick 6 (and probably, at a minimum, knocks the ball down). If NRC times the hit correctly, he pushes the receiver out of bounds a yard or two short of the first down, and the game plays out the same way it played out.

NRC, instead, made an error and hit the receiver early. Nobody is denying that. But, what Saints fans are essentially saying is that, despite being outplayed for 3+ quarters, and despite making poor play calls on that final drive, they are somehow entitled to get bailed out by a penalty on one particular play (never mind that, as has been discussed at length, there were several no-calls in their favor earlier in the game).

The Saints and their fans can feel however they want. But don't tell me the team that came into your building, fell behind 13-0 and 20-10, and still came back to win does not deserve to be in the Super Bowl.

The Rams are the NFC Champs, and they deserve that title.

Mike drop.
