So despite my frustration with Amazon, I started watching this (on my daughter's ipad) and I have to say, I am growing to like Jeff Fisher more and more each episode.
I can see why the players liked him and wanted to play for him. He really does seem like a hell of a guy.

Doesn't change my opinion about him as a coach, but definitely a cool dude

He has a terrible philosophy of football for today's game. It's not impossible for Jeff Fisher to succeed doing things his way but it's a pretty small window the way he wants to do it.

His record shows that...

I grew to really hate Fisher towards the end. I haven't seen the new show but I don't see him as a cool guy at all. I see him as a guy who lived in the Stone Age football-wise and a guy who never really "got it" in terms of accountability. He said he was fired because he didn't win enough games but then felt it necessary to add that the Rams never had the intention of him being part of the new stadium. That was really pathetic. He was a loser and that is the only reason he is gone.

He'd probably make a great DC somewhere. But I don't see that ever happening. I doubt he'd ever take a step down when he's been a head coach for so long. He believes he'll coach again.

But I have to wonder if any team will be knocking on his door. When he was fired it was clear his team hit rock bottom. That reflects on him. After almost 5 years you don't expect such a regression to the bottom. Especially when you consider they never had a winning season. But that was where they were with him. Rock bottom.

Jeff Fisher being petulant by telling his players to do the opposite of what the ref's instructed. Pretty much sums him up. Endearing to beer buddies but nothing I'd want for leading a team. Good riddance.

There are some franchises out there that historically cant get out of their own way, and I could totally see one of them do it.
The NY Jets will be looking for a HC after this season for sure. I could totally see them go for Fisher.

Yep at this point I dont think Fisher gets another HC job, the narrative that he cant coach offense has been beaten into anyone's head who would listen. He could definitely get hired as a DC and I think that is the route he will take to rebuild his rep. Some franchise could give him a shot than after a successful run as a DC.
