that said, i suppose you have to tip your hat to the eagles for finishing at 15th offensive scoring instead of 25th given their injuries, then again they finished 15th last season too...

in other news, more than a few eagles fans on twitter are crying that the eagles would have no doubt beat the seahawks had wentz not been injured, apparently already forgetting that the seahawks beat them in philly a month and a half ago while holding the wentz-led offense to 9 points, ha ha... not to mention that philly snuck into the postseason because of a horrible division that no one seemed to want to win, while the seahawks got in behind an 11-5 record playing in one of the toughest divisions in the league.
Is it a chicken or egg argument though? Philly hasn't had a "good" WR in a while, much less a receiving corps. So, is that by design and they just don't value the position? I mean, Jeffrey's a good receiver but not the most consistent or available.

It seems the Eagles should balance out their attack and like all teams, need at least the threat at WR to open up other things for the offense.

yeah, i get that, they suited up 10 of papale's drinking buddies from max's bar, sucked for wentz and company, i just didn't get the hoopla over no eagles wr topping 500+ yards, as if the eagles routinely fielded a stable of wr that flirted with 1,000+ yards, until this year....

anyway, i dig wentz, i like the cut of his jib, he's an impressive athlete, has the look and feel of that prototypical nfl qb that you hope your team would land, sucks that he can't just can't seem to finish a season upright, i mean it's getting downright bizarre.

I think the 4k with no 500 yard receivers is a feather in the OC's cap. For a team to traditionally have at least 2 over 700, I think its a big deal.
I wasn't making it about Wentz as much as I was thinking the OC did a heck of a job and got shit canned. And for the poor WR coach who got the axe despite being stuck with a bunch of malcontents that wouldn't play with a boo boo, and still was able to coach up some practice squad fodder to compete in must win games.
I think those 2 coaches should be praised for their efforts, not collecting unemployment checks

Eagles fans are like that. Very "Kreskin-like". I was told this spring that the Rams were "lucky" the Saints beat the Eagles because the Eagles would have beat the Rams easily to get to the Superbowl and then the Patriots once they got there.

The fan continued to tell me the Eagles would be back in the Superbowl this year, to which I replied, "you have that much confidence in Sudfeld?"
"Sudfeld is the backup. Wentz is our guy" was his astute reply.
To which I told him, "yeah, I know but doesn't he get injured every year?"

Supposedly McDaniels brought his wife with him to Cleveland and they are still there, so sounds like he's interested.

Saw a good joke online that the Browns would “pull a Jerry Jones” and announce McDaniels hiring during the Ravens playoff game.

I wonder if Josh decided he didn’t want to work for a disaster of an organization?
