I'd expect NFL to tell Spanos to work out deal with Kroenke or stay in STL. JAN 12-13 meeting they will get "help" working out the deal.

You mean "stay in San Diego", no?

Yes. SD not STL.

Phew you scared me a little.

I would love it if they would tell Spanos to stay in STL. LOL

When you reason through this deal, and examine all the implications of each outcome, you will come to the most logical conclusion.

For example, what are all the ramifications of the owners approving Carson?
1. They would be pushing Kroenke in a corner after he has agreed to share ownership in LA with the team of their choosing.
2.They would be sticking Kroenke with his worst possible outcome, no LA and stuck in STL with a plan that even the NFL doesn't like, and that's assuming that STL meets the 12/28 deadline which is questionable.
3. They would set themselves up for Kroenke going rogue and costing them huge dollars and headaches for years.
4. They would be turning down what is considered by many to be the superior plan for LA, Inglewood.
5. They would be turning down the guy who has the deepest pockets who can start writing check immediately.
6. They would be rewarding Mark Davis, with all their reservations about him both financially and managerially, with a power position in the 2nd largest market as well as their reservations about the Raiders in LA.
7. They would be making themselves vulnerable to any environmental issues that arise down the road with Carson. And we are talking about California here.
8. They would be abandoning the SD market for a much less desirable market in STL.

And they would do all this, mainly because Spanos says he hates Inglewood and doesn't like Kroenke at the moment.

What I find hard to believe is that any good businessman would favor Carson given the points I listed above.

Yes, it does make too much sense.

Yet, there are media guys out there saying that it won't happen because Spanos won't go for it. That's why they are media guys. Emotion trumps all in their eyes.

It's should be pretty clear by now what's going on. Before the Dallas meeting, there were many who believed LA wouldn't happen in 2016, and there were also many who believed the home cities had a lot more time than the end of the month.

Now the NFL has shown more of their hand. They are shutting down the home markets on 12/28, and even said a plan by then may not be good enough. And they made it pretty clear that they are gonna vote on this thing on Jan 12-13. There will be football in LA in 2016 after all. Surprise, surprise.

The next thing they are gonna do is "help" Spanos work out a deal with Kroenke over the next 6 weeks. And then the media will report it as BREAKING NEWS in January.

It's the outcome that just makes too much sense. That is, to a reasonable person with any business sense.

Over at PD "Kroenke still hasn't said he intends to move the Rams to LA". Krroenke's 50-50 offer to another owner flys right over their head.

It feels like STL people live on a different planet, planet delusional perhaps?

SD and Oak people are so different then STL people it's amazing. Chargers fans in SD are really worried about losing the team. They live in reality.

Seems like Kroenke plan of 50/50 partnership is appealing to NFL but if he doesnt have signed on partner, does that kill the deal?

They have blinders on over at RRF, they see SK's 50/50 offer as weak and a sign that he's giving in. But I remember reading the Inglewood stadium was going to be built for two teams in the first place. Why don't they see that?

And at turf show times an article has a headline "is Kroenke's plan on the ropes?"

I guess being delusional is the norm.

Everyone in St. Louis is banking on trotter's tweet.
