Again, it's stability. At least acknowledge that the Bengals have stuck with their coach and he's missed the playoffs in the past and hasn't won a playoff game recently. Maybe apples and oranges but my point was stability and coaches rumored on the hot seat in the past.I can see your Fisher hate is clouding your vision. Do you want to relive the Linehan/Spags years? We have a very good coach and sticking with him will allow his players to continue to grow up in the NFL. Throwing a temper tantrum because we lost a road game in OT with some key players not available isn't making sense. Fire everyone because you had a bad day. I hope your employer doesn't react in the same way.Make corrections and continue the course. Fisher has this team headed in the right direction and it's in much better position then it's been in quite awhile. Firing the coach will only set us back IMOMarvin Lewis won his division his third year as head coach. Jeff Fisher went 6-10. Jeff Fisher has had 5 consecutive seasons as .500 or lower record. Hate Fisher? Please. I wanted him. Twice. I'm also willing/able to trust my eyes as well as other empirical evidence that he is horrifically mediocre. I just don't get why Rams fans can't call what they see in front of them. A team whose roster is better than its outcomes.Whatever....there really isn't any fix for stupid.Since 2003 taking over the Bengals Lewis has had 2 winning seasons up until 2009 and no playoff wins. He's also had a losing record up until the last 4 years that resulted in zero playoff wins. I'm in no way saying he's a bad coach...just saying the knee jerk response by your crowd is wrong. Last time I checked Fisher only has 3 years as the Rams coach. Adding false information only proves your ignorance. Admit it...you hate Fisher or have a weird craving for something different. As I've stated, something different is Not a good thing when dealing with NFL coaches. It's well proven that stability is the answer and knee jerk reactions with multiple head coaching changes set your organisation back several years. Please feel free to continue your Fisher bashing but as a long time Ram fan...I can see the team is much better since he took over.I'm not sure if this stuff is being directed at me or not. But just to be clear, I don't hate Jeff Fisher, i just can't stand the style of offense he wants to play. I don't really care about the Bengals or their HC, I just want a stifling D and an offense that can run AND pass the ball and move the chains in a functional manner. I can't bear watching the Dieter Brock regime again. I had to witness ground-Chuck and inept playoff teams squander opportunity after opportunity, then I had to watch John Robinson screw things up until Malavaysi finally came in and took us to a SB that we almost won. I'm tired of having to witness history repeat with a HC who is either too arrogant or too stubborn to see that there is another way. New HC. New L.A. Stadium. But at some point you want more than a .500 season. I'm not sure we can do better than .500 with Jeff Fisher. He's great at evaluating defensive talent. And he knows his running backs. But in today's NFL going with a bottom tier offense with a bottom tier quarterback and bottom tier receivers isn't going to get you far. I know he's never put a high priority on the passing game. But he'll probably always be stuck in the mud with good defenses and bad offenses. Win one game, lose one game. Win two games, lose one game. Win one game, lose two games. When its all said and done we're sitting at 7 or 8 wins. Maybe 9 in a good year. Maybe 6 in a bad year. I guess its better than the 15-65 rut we were in. But in the 4th year you start to want more. Not the little teasers we get now and then to make us think we're almost ready to turn that proverbial corner. Only to have another bad offensive game that the defense can't make up for. I don't see 10 wins in this team. In fact, I think they got work to do to win 9. When its all said and done I see 8 wins. Patience is a virtue and some don't have it.I must have missed when Fisher had an 11-5 record here in St Louis. LolNot only were Lewis teams underachieving, he also had seemingly 6-7 guys getting arrested.Worked out for them, but I still am surprsied he didnt get fired. Right where many put us before the season began. by dieterbrock 9 years 7 months ago Total posts: 11512 Joined: Mar 31 2015 New Jersey Hall of Fame Re: Week 9 Game Thread: Rams@Vikes POST #149 I dont think its unfriendly, I like the ability to display passion. Maybe Fisher set the bar too high in his first year, but for me there's just no excuse for mediocrity in year 4 considering the defense may be the best in the game. Throw in Gurley being possibly the best RB right now (at least top 3), I find it inexcusible that the offense is so bad.I dont like to point to record as an absolute be all end all but if the best we can muster this year is an 8-8 record then its time for serious changeIf Fisher is willing to make that change, great. If he isnt, and insists its his way then I'd say its time to move on.Its an offensive league and with salary cap we can only keep the core D players together for very longWindow isnt open very long and IMO its open RIGHT NOW by Stranger 9 years 7 months ago Total posts: 3213 Joined: Aug 12 2015 Norcal Superstar Re: Week 9 Game Thread: Rams@Vikes POST #150 dieterbrock wrote:I dont think its unfriendly, I like the ability to display passion. His draft picks on offense until Gurley were wastes mostly, even Austin at 8 was a reach although the Rams are getting some production from him finally. Pead, Quick, Givens, Stedman Bailey, Mason, Zach Stacey, and Darryl Richardson. Some had moments, many are long gone or play very marginal roles. Then he wants bum Jared Cook as his big FA target? Mediocre Nick Foles as his QB?Marvin Lewis got AJ Green and Andy Dalton last few years, which flipped their script. As many warts as Dalton has had in the prime time games, he's light years better than our QBs since prime Bulger. AJ Green is the type of WR this team hasn't had in a decade.Fisher has built the defense nicely, I'm intrigued by their young line going forward although it doesn't look like Gregg Robinson will be an elite tackle for a second pick. But there are simply not enough threats on offense. by dieterbrock 9 years 7 months ago Total posts: 11512 Joined: Mar 31 2015 New Jersey Hall of Fame Re: Week 9 Game Thread: Rams@Vikes POST #146 AltiTude Ram wrote:Dick84 wrote:Umm... the BENGALS HAVE BEEN MAKING THE PLAYOFFS CONSISTENTLY.
