Speaking of the bye, last year 1-4 @ the bye, 2023 they were 3-6. How about a nice 7-1 or 8-0 this year?

IMO a lot will hang on how good their OL is this year. They supposedly have upgraded but we know the difference between an on paper upgrade and an actual upgrade. Their D looks like it will still be the strength of their team.

It's a quality matchup right out of the gate and will tell us a lot about the Rams in 2025. It's one of the 3 or 4 games that IMO could go either way. I think if the Rams play a clean game they can win it. But they can't get sloppy or careless. I think it could be a very close game.

Stroud is a quality pocket passer with decent mobility. That said if you get quick pressure on him you can beat him. He's improved since being a rookie so the Texans have a legit good starter. His arm is still very good so the key will be not to give him time to survey the field.

Joe Mixon was a big RB with excellent speed as a rookie. That was 9 years ago. He's still a very capable RB who can move the chains if you miss tackles. Offensively, the Texans looked like the AFC version of the Rams the last couple of years. Good enough to hurt you if you get sloppy. This year IMO the Rams are as good as they have been since McVay became HC. McVay now has a team that is strong in all three phases.

The Ram defense must be mindful that the Texans have an excellent PK with the leg for long FGs. So yeah I think it will be a close game and the Rams must not allow the Texans to have the last possession kind of game.

I look for the bye first thing each season. Saw that you nailed it!! Works out pretty well. The first TNF is early which is good and a potentially “lesser” opponent before playing the hated ones. The tougher TNF is late in the season and probably a tough stretch. Lions at home then @ the Hawks 4 days later. But, get MNF the following week for an extra rest day.

My initial guess is 11-12 wins and 4-2 in division. Obvious top games outside of division are Eagles, Lions, Bucs, Ravens.

Pretty damn shocking we got only 4 prime time games, two of which are TNF. But how in the f
are the Eagles, Lions and Ravens not part of the prime time games? A bad Dallas team gets six and the opening game. Guess the NFL doesnt like money.

Overall as far the overall schedule, decent time for a bye and only one weather game at Seattle in December. I made my prediction in the other thread 11-7

Dallas gets favored because there are still one of their biggest ratings draws. That means money is the reason Dallas gets the prime time games.

Here's a bit from an article about that.

Despite a poor season, Dallas still outdrew teams with winning records. As the NFL’s most valuable franchise, Dallas uses their well-known brand to attract fans nationwide.

Right? The Lions game is the Fox game of the week, more or less a standalone in the late window, so next best thing to a primetime game...
