NFC West Week 15

I will add updates to this post.

Seahawks: 8-5, Host Packers (Conf, common) MUST LOSE
Rams: 8-6, BEAT whiners (Div)
Cards: 7-7 Beat Pats
Whiners: 6-8 LOST to Rams (Div) 🧹

If everything breaks right Rams in first after today and the Cards/whiners at 6-8.

EDIT - Adding Wildcard

1 - Lions 12-2
2 - Eagles 12-2
3 - Seahawks 8-5
4 - Bucs 8-6
5 - Vikings 11-2
6 - Packers 9-4
7 - Commandos 9-5

Vikings Host Bears (MNF)
Packers @ Hawks (SNF)
Commandos @ Saints - W

A Saints win gets us a tie for the 7th seed.
A packers win gets a the 3 seed.

Boy, ain't that the truth!!!!

A couple of "asides" to consider going forward. If Green Bay beats Seattle, it puts pressure on Minnesota to beat Chicago, which should both be doable. But a Lions loss to Buffalo would give Minnesota extreme incentive to beat Seattle next week! A Lions loss also keeps Philly hungry (to beat Washington next week) as well as Detroit to beat up on SF in week 16.
"Everything" should also include that stuff!!!!

So todays teams I am rooting to win would be Green Bay, Minnesota, Buffalo and Philly. Consider something else....if the Rams manage to win the West does it matter who's the #1 seed? Philly ends up the #1 seed, potentially we won't face Detroit until the divisional round or Philly until the CCG. Vice versa if Detroit finishes #1 and Philly #2. Of course, few expected the Rams to win the West, let alone win a playoff game and get to the Divisional round.

I edited to include the wildcard standings.
Win the west and we could be as high as the 3 seed.

1 - Lions
2 - Eagles
3 - Seahawks
4 - Bucs
5 - Vikings
6 - Packers
7 - Commandos

Like you said PA, winning the west and things break pretty nicely. Seattle could end up the 7 seed depending on what the Rams, Commandos, and they do. Atlanta could overtake the Bucs for the 4 seed.

It’s going to be a wild final month for damn sure.

Rams just need to keep winning.

With the games winding down, Philly is leading Pittsburgh by 14 with 10 minutes left. Buffalo just went up 17 on Detroit. Washington won. Tampa is winning by 20.

Gotta love to see a Green Bay win and a Minnesota win. Even the conference leaders will have to play HARD through week 18.

Detroit 2 minutes to get it down to 10. 12 minutes left. What's wrong with them? They've only put up 28 on Buffalo! :lol2:

Buffalo, 90 points in 2 weeks and they still have to close this out to be 1-1!!!! Their D has given up 79......and the Lions have the ball again!

The RAMs motto, one game at a time:

Not to get ahead,

but as we're witnessing with the Hags losing to GB!!!

With their lost, and if then by chance they also lose to the Vikings,

then all we have to do is win against the Jets & AZ,

and we win the division before the last game against the Hags.

Will McVay play his backups on offense?

You are incorrect.......

If they lose to Green Bay (that looks like it'll happen; Geno is out; Green Bay leads 23-6 after 3) and Minnesota but beat Chicago, they'd be 9-7; 3-2 in the division, 5-6 in the conference.

If we win at the Jets and vs Arizona, we'd be 10-6, 4-1 in the division and 6-5 in the conference.

A loss to Seattle would tie us dead even in the division (10-7), record within the division (4-2), in conference record (6-6) and common games (7-5).

Common games would be:
New England (we both won)
Miami (they won, we lost)
Buffalo (they lost, we won)
NY Jets (they won, we'd be tied with a win)
Detroit (we both lost)
Green Bay (we both lost)
Minnesota (we won, they lose?)
Chicago (we lost, they play the week before they play us)
San Fran (they split, we swept)
Arizona (they swept, we split with a win)

Our record of common games?
Rams 7-5, Seattle 7-5

TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION
If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same
division finish with the best won-lost-tied percentage, the following
steps will be taken until a champion is determined:

TWO CLUBS
1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games
between the clubs). (1-1)

2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division (4-2)

3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games. (7-5)

4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the
conference. (6-6)

5. Strength of victory in all games.

6. Strength of schedule in all games.

It would come down to strength of victory in all games. They lost by 17 so they're +2. We're currently -28. That's a 30 point difference. We'd need to come into that last week leading them by 1 more point than we would lose by. That's not gonna be easy, especially if they beat Chicago. Of course if they lose to Minnesota AND Chicago, we win the division with wins over the Jets and Arizona.

Let's just play it safe and win out!!!!
