But, with the exception of Dallas, the offense hung points on those teams as well. The defense is what it is. We shoulda blown the Commanders and Saints out. The defense failed.

Where its gets dicey is in the red zone. If the Rams don’t score TDs they really can't hang with any of the playoff teams - defense just isn’t good enough. And STs are an unmitigated disaster.

It has become as many said at the beginning: the offense must score a ton and carry the D. We have to hope that Raheem can scheme up just enough defense to help the offense out.

Updated to include all Sunday games. Shit is gonna come down to the wire. We are currently at 65% chance. A win of the DeVitos puts us at over 80%.

PLAYOFF STANDINGS

SF 11-3, NFC West Champ
Detroit 11-4, NFC North Champ
Philly 10-4
Bucs 8-7

WC - Dallas 10-5
WC - RAMS 8-7
WC - Seattle 8-7

8. Minnesota 7-8
9. Green Bay 7-8
10. New Orleans 7-8
11. Atlanta 7-8

12. Bears 6-9
13. Giants 5-9

DRAFT - Updated only the Rams pick which is how it will be going forward. Once we make the playoffs, this section is getting shit canned!!!!

If the Vikings, Packers, Falcons and Seahawks win out, we will have to beat the Giants AND the whiners to get in.

Vikings and Packers play each other next week. Loser is out. If we don't win out, we need a SEA loss or the winner of GB-MIN to lose in Week 17 to get 7th seed. Both to get 6th seed. Although I'm uncertain of conference record tie breaker with MIN. Think that's true, but it's brain spinning time.

I could see Minnesota beating Green Bay but then they play the Lions. Best case scenario is we win out. 2nd best is Green Bay beats Minnesota next week, then lays an egg vs the Bears. Too far fetched? They barely beat Carolina.

Regardless of what happens, who had the Rams as the #6 seed going into week 16? I am so proud of these guys. Now finish the deal. If we wanted to name this 2023 finish it might be The Wild Card Battle of the McVay tree!

I was sitting at my local with all three games going in front of me (Packers, Vikes, and Hawks). The last 6 minutes had me believing a trifecta was about to happen. So stressful.

Bottom line: Rams need to earn their spot (obvi). Still very surprised and happy with the way our season is going. Looks very promising for next season, no matter what happens.

NFL Script Writers need to get busy 😂😂

Yeah, just win baby is the solution. Honestly, I'd be cool if we beat the G-men in convincing fashion and nothing else happens. But this team has the potential to take a team down in the playoffs. We want the Lions!

I think this is where we are now…

A. If we win out we’re in.

B. If we split our last 2 games we’re in if:
1. Seattle loses a game.
2. Seattle wins out AND
Packers beat Vikings and lose to Bears.
Or
Vikings beat Packers and lose to Lions.

I gotta add, I have no problem with us having to beat Giants and Niners. I think it will feel a hell of a lot better going to SF and beating them when they already have the BYE locked-up.

Big Whit was on with Eisen and said the Niners better be careful if they play their starters with nothing to gain. If the Rams need that game it's gonna be very physical. I would love nothing more than us beating the Niners to get in, and they lose one of their key guys in the process.

I've been in this boat for week. People keep saying SF won't rest their starters, even if they have #1 clinched, and I think that's absolutely boneheaded. Considering how often the 9ers have used injuries (justified or not) as to why they haven't won it all yet, facing a desperate Rams team...that's just a recipe for disaster for them. Totally my opinion of course, but Shanny better be careful making the choice between his brain and his ego.
