kinda seems like you're saying that a predominantly white business ownership group should be allowed to use the n-word for branding because black communities use it in a non-offensive manner?
No, I'm not saying that as that's a unique situation unto itself IMO and actually a stark contrast of what and how Redskin is used.

Where do most people ever run into a...is there an appropriate term for Indian these days? I know it isn't Indian or Native American or, not that I ever think of using it, Redskin. Isn't Indigenous People also inappropriate now? Which is a big part of the problem. There are very few agreed upon ways to refer to Indians.

Which isn't unique to Indians. There seems to be no end to the changing names you can call someone. White, black and red seemed simple and descriptive enough but most of those are taboo as well in most cases. A lot of minorities were taking pride in "brown" but I don't know if that's still the case.

As far as taking over "their" lands, that's the way of the world and not unique to the US. Every civilization everywhere ousted the previous civilization. Not sure why our country is generally held to a different standard in that regard.

Skeptical. Trade Rumors usually isn't too late with any breaking news and they don't rely on any particular insiders. Wherever the news comes from, they post it.

Until it comes from a blue check, I don't buy it.

BUT it's a reasonable move.

First, when you first meet a prominent person you haven't met before do you call them by their given name? If you were to first meet President Obama, would you say "Hi Barack"? If you would, you are being presumptuous. Personally when I am introduced to a person in a professional setting (like this person was) I always use their family name (Mr. Snyder in this case). Many times I have been corrected, but it is usually to point out they had earned the title of "doctor".

Second, your comment about AR's admin "powers" is pissy and immature. Grow up.

St. Loser Fan wrote:But there are also stories of Snyder pulling the same “Call me Mr” stuff with parents of children that his kids are on teams with. Some of them wealthy, powerful and/or older than him.

Like one of the parents in a respected surgeon. Synder drops the "call me Mister" stuff on the surgeon but doesn't return the favor and does not address him as "Doctor".

Why don't you post these stories?
