a 6th rounder who turned out to be a stud - is kelce an example of "building a quality oline"? a blueprint? at right guard they found a quality olineman in 3rd rounder brooks

This kind of thing is just typical of most good lines. I am not sure what your point is, since no one I have seen ever argues that line quality is predicated on the number of high draft picks in the unit.

Example, going back a decade from 2013 to 2004, how many good centers were picked after the 3rd round? I count 11 of 46, or 24%, which is a good hit rate for those round.

How many good guards were taken in round 3? 50%--10 of 20.

The only absolute for sure distinction is that it is much harder to find starting caliber LOTs after round 2.

We aren't in a good long-term position on the OL with two old men and 3 pending 2019 FAs (Saffold, Brown, and Hav). Probably aren't going get as lucky injury wise as we were last year either. I was hoping for perhaps an upgrade on Brown or a longer term solution at C in FA, but can focus there in the draft. Value and ROI much better with D additions.

Interesting, Shrager in the NFL Network video a page or 2 back estimated Suh's market value at $12-15M (annual) and a Rams offer at $8-10M. Think he's a little light on both fronts. If we can get Suh at that price, this offseason has been a 8-run homerun regardless of whatever else happens.

They're saying 3 years for $24 million. I find that very hard to believe, but we'll se soon.

the possibility of donald/suh, plus the addition of talib/peters got me thinking about the stingiest defenses that have taken the field, and how great it would be if the 2018 rams could become one of those ass kicking defensive teams.

here's a look at the 10 best defenses in fewest offensive points allowed dating back to 1978, when the league moved to a 16-game schedule... i've included the defensive line personnel for each of these teams along with some of their vitals (example - (draft round / years in league before the great defensive year / career pro bowls), an asterisk indicates that the player was acquired, not drafted by his team, while blue text indicates 3-4 defenses.

the 1985 and 1986 bears occupy 2 of the 10 spots (no surprise there), the 1991 and 1992 saints also occupy 2 of the 10 spots, while mr. stache's 2000 titans come in at #3.

one thing that jumped out was how long a lot of these guys had been in the league before their defenses had such historic years, and i was also a bit surprised to see that the 2000 ravens, the #1 stingiest defense since 1978, fielded a defensive line made up of 3 acquisitions.

anyway, the rams would be hard-pressed to break into this top 10 given how much the game has changed, given how much teams now score, in fact the most recent team on the list is the 2009 jets from 9 years ago, still it would be great to see the rams field an absolutely dominant defense!

Who the hell is this Adam pendelton guy? Making a name for himself or in the know?

Knew a guy who had met Les Snead in 2014 at a team function and told me Snead said “Kroenke hellbent on LA”

That’s when I knew they’d move because guy was very trustworthy. Don’t know who this person is.
