I'm kinda sad for San Diego. Both the sadness, the hatred to Spanos, and the love our beautiful city is strong.

I love San Diego though. Their poll says 81% of San Diego fans will not go to a game in LA.

They say Spanos is a trust fund baby who fucked over his fans. I AGREE.

When the Rams talked about St. Louis causing any football team certain financial disaster and permanent damage to the NFL, I hope this is true of the Chargers in Inglewood. [\bitter]

I wonder what sort of "outs" the Chargers will be given to leave LA?

ok.
@St. Loser Fan

I was obviously all for LA on the Rams move. I am feeling or at least understanding the SD pain. I give you some credit I never did before.

Loves.

Nobody likes the Clippers and they're the 5th most valuable team in the NBA.

I'm not so sure the Chargers in L.A. is destined to fail. The L.A. market is 5.5 x the size of SD. They only need a small slice of the pie to do a lot better than they were in SD. Stub Hub won't be hard to fill for the first two years.

The Raiders to LV is a little harder to figure. the SF market is 3.5 x Las Vegas but Las Vegas is a lot more than just its residents...

I think the novelty is gonna go far. In life we have times when folks get crazy with money. Such as the most level headed fiscal minded woman can be persuaded to lose all sense and over pay for anything and everything when it is her wedding and dress.

Las Vegas is a town who's economy thrives on the wisdom of the proverb, a fool and his money are soon parted. I can see some real novelty to vacationers, conference goers, gamblers and etc. People who have come to town with disposable income in tow and have planned before they ever left to enjoy themselves and spend every dollar they are taking.

To enjoy the novelty of first placing a bet on the game at the casino then heading down and watching the game in person as it unfolds. Which I believe the visiting team could be as a big of a draw as well as the Raiders themselves.

I just don't think ya can go wrong when a good portion of the people in the stands are in town for the Vegas experience and ok with the idea of spending all the money they came with.

Then ya throw in Casinos are gonna be aware of this and buy tickets and comp folks tickets. Or raffle them off. Heck buy a 100, 300, or a 1000 dollar ticket and raffle it off for a dollar or what have ya. Heck I am sure the Casino will make their cost back exponentially. It really could be a big boom for them which of course will be a boom for the team as well.

I think it puts the LA-based Raider fans right back in to the mix. Vegas is a lot more accessible than SF and well...it's Vegas. I imagine there will be 8 weekends a year when we'll see a Raider Nation caravan heading up and down the 15. I picture SWA and other regional airlines running "Game Day" ticket specials as well.

You'll see tix being sold at the same booths they sell show tix.

The Raiders won't have any problems filling seats there, IMO.

As an event planner who is in Vegas for trade shows frequently - I cannot wait for an NFL suite to be an option for corporate events there.

They will have no issues selling tickets.

But isn't that another danger for the Rams and Chargers if the Raiders are more accessible for LA residents?

Plus I landed in Vegas the day after the NBA All Star Game was there. Let's hope it doesn't get that bad.

I don't get your constant "danger" type thing about LA fans for the Rams.

OMG! The Raiders are in Sin City, a short 4 hour drive. Rams fans are bailing as if there is a fire!!!!

Unlike Missouri, who had two NFL teams within driving distance, btw...

...LA is huge. Fans are fans of the team they like, or not really a fan at all. Just because there is a team in Vegas, does not mean the Rams will suffer at all.

Also, Raider Nation is it's own kinda thing. It only would have affected the Rams had the Raiders moved back into LA.
