One way to re-tool is to have a speed bump in front of your house on a busy street. My friend Craig has one in front of his house on Trail and he has picked up LOTS of tools and all sorts of other stuff that bounces off trucks and trailers driving too $%#*^$%*@&#*# Fast.

Craig prefers SNAP-On but Mac has some nice tools too.

I think we're all past, "I think we're all past 'it's just retooling' ". 8-)

Be great in the redzone, on 3rd down, and in 2-minute and 4-minute situations. Don’t hurt your team on STs, create pressure, get turnovers, don’t turn the ball over, no dumb/drive extending penalties.

The “not retooling” Rams have done well in a number of those areas.

Obviously, pressure, turnovers, 2 min, and dumb penalties are areas in need of improvement.

Managing the run game, both sides, is also critical. Limit explosives on D, be good enough on O where D’s have to honor the run and convert in gotta have it runs. Doing better than OK there for the most part.

Monday night will reveal a bit more of how the “not retooling” process is going.

This stat was a Rams issue for years, with only one exception (2019). Every other year they were mediocre or a cut below avg. Forget 2022, they started out uncharacteristically not ready for the season and then added the "injuries from hell" problem on top of that. (Though for the record in 22 they ranked 14th).

On this stat, even in 2021 they ranked 16th.

Here are all the prior years back to 2017:

2020 19th
2019 6th
2018 18th
2017 17th
