Question, what if Hunter Long, does not pass the physical? I assume physicals have to be done on players. Does the trade become voided?

We get rid of an older vet who didn't really have a huge impact on our D, which allowed more rushing yards per game than 2021 and a much higher ypc average. They traded away an almost 30 year old CB, who many fans claimed to see/know he'd lost a step and was either getting burned or making mistakes. They got rid of an Edge player who was maligned most of the year for not getting pressure on the QB. All while creating 2023 cap space and nuking the high cap numbers for 2024! SO we're not contenders in 2023? We haven't even gone through free agency and the draft yet but we're done, toast. Gotta love fandom!!

Oh I think we are competitive this season. There are in-house replacements for everyone except edge. Not saying they will perform as well. But ya never know. There will be an influx of talent as well. I think the offense will be a lot better which should help the defense who could take a bit of a step backwards. I see 8-10 wins this season.

Rams Draft Picks 2023.

Round 2, Pick 36
Round 3, Pick 69
Round 3, Pick 77
(from MIA)
Round 5, Pick 167
Round 5, Pick 171
Round 5, Pick 177
Round 6, Pick 182
Round 6, Pick 189 (from ATL)
Round 6, Pick 191 (from TEN)
Round 7, Pick 223
Round 7, Pick 235
Round 7, Pick 251

They have 12 picks overall. If Snead is a wheeler dealer he has some bricks to work with.

And it might not be over. He has made some draft day trades, trading away players for picks. We could see a player (and maybe a pick) for a decent pick. ARob and a 5th for a 2nd? 3rd?

And with those picks....however many we make.....fuck upside.....take players with proven, productive resumes

For picks, I always look at ratios when there's no first rounder. 3 of the first 77 = a pick every 29 selections (above average). Hell, I'd like to see him get another 2nd round pick.

This was a trade for a rebuild. The plan is Caleb Williams. This is L.A.

We all see it’s a Quarterback driven league. You gotta have one. Ant the Chiefs have Mahomes this is the closest guy to Mahomes.

Staffy is great. Super bowl winning Quarterback. Super bowl winning drive. But he ain’t Brady and I don’t think he’s playing til 45.

Get your Patrick Mahomes get Caleb.

We’ll be alright. Once you get Caleb at least you know you have one.

Stafford has two season max. And I haven’t seen him since the neck injury.

We're not gonna get Caleb Williams. We'd have to have the worse record m in the NFL and that ain't gonna happen without a blatent tank job. We have Stafford, Kupp, a lot of good young lineman, good receivers, a couple of good RB'S on offense.

I know many fans are saying, "yeah they got rid of Wagner, Floyd and Ramsey, so they're going D heavy in the draft". Not so fast my friend. Edge, yes but I anticipate a RB, TE and WR among the first 6 picks. Maybe a C too. Why? 2 words.....Sean McVay.

The only way we end up with CW in 24 is if we trade a player for a first round pick in season and then trade up to #1. What are the odds for that?

I’m just going by what I’m hearing. And they are saying the Rams are actively shopping Stafford. And some are talking about Donald. And if you just traded Ramsey what are you saying to Donald? And if you trade Stafford what are you saying to Donald? So we just gotta see what next moves they make in Free agency.

"We love you. You have 2 years left. We got out of cap hell now and we're bringing in a shitload of young talent.....to add to the shitload we drafted last year. Nothing has changed. Pressure the QB".

Snead already nixed those rumors by saying "our pillars are Stafford, Donald and Kupp". He didn't say Wagner, Floyd and Ramsey, then traded them.

They aren’t tanking so please just lose that thought process. Now, could they be loading up on a shit ton of draft capital to move up next year?? Maybe. Could they package one of the big 3 this year or next to get another first rounder + for 2024? Maybe. So if they want a Caleb they will have to do it with ammo, not by deliberately trying to have the worst record next year. That just ain’t gonna happen. And I can’t see them trading Staff, AD, or Kupp to a dogshit team so those cats probably aren’t going anywhere.

They traded Ramsey bc he wanted guaranteed money and is approaching 30 and they HAD to get under the cap. It’s as simple as that.

Now if by the trade deadline for this upcoming season they are sitting at 2 or 3 wins then ya, maybe they think about trading their stars, blowing it all up and going after a stud rookie QB. But they aren’t going to try to “tank” to get there.

And why is the narrative that they are going to suck this upcoming season?? I would reserve that until at least through training camp and into preseason to seeA. Who this team actually built as a roster and B. How the young guns perform in preseason. Then let’s see what happens.

I see 8-10 wins based on assumed health and the vets we KNOW will be on the roster.

Common sense doesn't have to be applied in sports fandom. It does have have to be applied in sports business. The cap is the reason for the trade. Not the 3rd round pick or young TE.

Example: Is Caleb Williams the only QB who is going to win a SB in the next 10 years? Of course not. Chances are good he won't win one at all. Especially if he goes to a shit team, like most #1 picks. So is he a "must have"? No.

Would I love him in horns? Absolutely.
