Bye bye Chandler Brewer, he was nice depth...

https://theramswire.usatoday.com/2023/0 ... t-signing/

Another offensive lineman has made his way out of Los Angeles. The Jacksonville Jaguars announced on Wednesday that they have signed Chandler Brewer as a free agent. Brewer joins David Edwards as the second offensive lineman to leave the Rams in free agency this year.

The terms of Brewer’s contract were not disclosed.

The Rams could have easily retained Brewer if they wanted to, considering he was a restricted free agent. They chose not to tender him, however, allowing him to become an unrestricted free agent.

The Rams did re-sign Coleman Shelton, so that move likely resulted in them letting Brewer leave after four seasons with the team. He signed with the Rams as an undrafted rookie in 2019 and was active for seven games that year.

He did not appear in any games in 2020 after opting out due to COVID-19 concerns. He then spent the 2021 season on the practice squad. Last season, he played six games and made four total starts.

Tough decision. Wentz or Eli Apple for #4? Imagine if it were 4 & 5? Hide the ropes. Lock the guns up. Bring councilers in.

Bryce Perkins will participate in Giants’ rookie minicamp
Posted by Charean Williams on May 4, 2023

Free agent quarterback Bryce Perkins will participate in the Giants’ rookie minicamp, according to multiple reports.

Perkins ’ is the brother of former Giants running back Paul Perkins.

The Rams did not tender Bryce Perkins as a restricted free agent, which would have cost them $2.6 million. The Rams since have added Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett in the fourth round, UT-Martin quarterback Dresser Winn as a college free agent and veteran free agent Brett Rypien .

Perkins made his first career start last season and completed 13 of 23 passes for 100 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. The Rams lost to the Chiefs 26-10.

He is 19-of-34 for 161 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions in the five games he saw action in during the 2022 season.

Perkins joined the Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2020.

This is kind of wild, what does it even mean? Aren't there rules about NFL free agents with multiple years in the league? He just gonna hang out? I'd think they'd have to sign and pay him something otherwise but maybe it's a tryout?
