He just doesn't provide anything special that Akers or Henderson cannot do. Any snap he would take just takes the ball out of the hands of Akers (or Henderson). He was a nice media story for Denver but his window has closed. He will probably bounce around the league for a few more years as veteran depth.

Just had to share, what a great line

Plus, RBs can be found cheap in Draft, and/or UDFAs......eg. Xavier Jones & Raymond Calais

We need that ex-Bronco Philip Lindsay like we need a sucking chest wound!! :idea2: :arrow2: :x

I think we need another RB and IMO, what I remember of Lindsey, he'd be worth having. Of course, the price would have to be right. I'm still not sold on Akers and more depth wouldn't be a bad thing. I hope Akers becomes a stud but this offense seems to rely on a committee at RB more than a bell cow so I'd welcome another good RB to the stable.

He was "dynamic" his rookie year.

1037 yards on 192 carries, 9 TDs in 2018.
1011 yards on 224 carries, 7 TDs in 2019.
And then last year......
502 yards on 118 carries, 1 TD.
70 receptions his first 2 years, 7 last year.

I agree.......he doesn't provide anything special. A slightly better Zak Stacy or Tre Mason. We don't need anymore of that.

Cam Akers had 146 carries for 660 yards (4.5 ypc) in his last 8 starts (including the playoffs).

Darrell Henderson had 95 carries for 458 yards (4.8 ypc) in the first 8 games.

Both guys need to show they can stay healthy, of course, but right now, I'd put RB very low on the priority list.

Agreed. Health is always a factor . A full NFL offseason with hopefully little covid restrictions should help these guys get their bodies ready as well. The only knock is that these guys are all young and the position group doesn't have a savvy vet to help some of these young'uns. All that being said, I think we are running Akers, Henderson and Jones. I predict Calais will be a camp cut as a more potent KR is identified. Probably pick up a RB or 2 as UDFA for camp bodies and maybe stash on PS

What, how can you not be sold on him?? By the end of the season he was playing like the best offensive player on the field. Lindsey is s decent back but Akers and Hendu are goign to get the carries and I want to see what Xavier Jones can do. Rams will get some UFA as well after the draft.

I just don't believe in RB's that quickly. Zac Stacy for example. A brief stint of production is nice but all too often fleeting. Lindsay's off the board and got way more than the Rams could afford. I just haven't seen the same type of electricity from Akers and Henderson that I saw out of Lindsay. Not that they're bad, but IMO PL is just a tick better.
