I'm not sure why anyone would hire a DC as head coach anymore. It's not 100% but most of the top teams have HCs who also call the offense. Tough sledding for DCs inline for a HC job...

That's where Raheem is slightly different than other DCs. He has done both. DB coach. WR coach. Passing game coordinator. Defensive coordinator. Plus he's been a head coach.

I know it's not 100%, Sean McDermott is another example but i couldn't be happier about having an OC/play calling head coach. I think that's the optimal scenario...

Once of my favorite Raheem lines, forgot where i heard it, maybe Flying Coach, he was saying when they asked him to be WR coach he was like, i don't know anything about coaching WRs but then he thought how hard could it be, "nice catch Julio, i can do that..."

Raheem is great but if he gets a HC gig, so much of his success will depend on him hiring a really good OC. I think it's better if you, the HC, already have that covered.

Plus if you do get a good one, he'll be gone pretty quick...

[quote="actionjack"]The Niners (and I hate saying this) are the class of the NFL now, they are the 2021 version of the star crossed Rams. Injuries to key niners would be the only chance the Rams would have at beating them. Eagles are very good, but possibly beatable if we made a move to bolster the pass rush.

I refuse to acknowledge that; it is tantamount to treason! ;)
