The weak link in my taking the train is the shuttle after the game. So, some thoughts rolled around my head and I thought what about these folding electric scooters? Found some on amazon with great reviews for less than $200 that have 5+ mile range. Its 1.5 miles to the station from the stadium. I could carry them on the train and even on the shuttle as they fold up pretty small. Then lock them on a bike rack at the stadium. I see there is a bunch of them. Then just zip on back to the train station with it after the game. Seems like a slam dunk but now I am researching:- Stadium website specifically says electric scooters are not allowed on site... wonder why. Probably would not be enforced but I don't know. I suppose I could just fold it and walk to the outside of the stadium with it before getting on it.- City of Inglewood has some sort of ban on them too! But it seems its more the the rental market type that people leave laying around everywhere so might not be for privately owned ones?- I would assume you need helmets to ride them and the stadium site says you can bring helmets into the stadium so I would be stuck renting a locker to store them for the game which are $25.Seems like this should be a good solution but barriers are set up. Lots of bike racks around the stadium but I am not messing with bringing bikes on the train. Anyone else have experience with doing something like this? I know I could walk but I am sure it is a good half hour walk. Trying to make the whole process better. I took my scooter and went to Sofi. Didn’t see a single security guard— so nothing official. However, there are clear bike lanes painted onto the streets within the Sofi parking complex. I think entering from Arbor Vitae is the easiest and most direct route to blue parking (where I took my photos).Through that entrance you can get to the blue parking with bike lockers and racks without crossing clear pedestrian areas (bike lanes and parking lot only).I see no reason why they would not allow scooters in the bike lanes and parking areas. I would not try to ride a scooter (or bike) through the walking areas (anywhere near the actual Stadium).I believe the signs at the lake actual forbid bikes, skateboards, and scooters.Good luck!!Update: I actual caught the attention of a security guy. Asked if they’d be okay with this electric scooter on game day. He said sure!! It's so frustrating to be 3 miles as the crow flies from SoFi and it taking 90 minutes to get back home without having to drive and pay for parking. Honestly, the $75 Forum parking is sort of a deal considering it's more expensive for me right now to Uber to and from. They have not fixed it. Just expect it and enjoy your after game at Sofi, it will take you 2 hrs to leave.Uber and Lyft on the other hand is not bad. I checked throughout the Bolts/Cowboys game. Just before and just after the game— 20 bux if you leave or park with 3-5miles of SOFI.Arrival is easy and you’ll have no problems unless you wait until last minute. Also you should drop off and pick up at Target(next to Sofi) and you’ll be fine. It’s a little bit of a walk but you’ll walk through the tail gate lot and it’s all okay and fine. If you expect Uber to pick you up at sofi you’ll likely get cancel and be unable to get an Uber.Or just hop onto the free metro bus and then Uber from wherever they drop you off. It’ll be easy and quick and not surge pricing.Enjoy the game!! 2 by DirtyFacedKid 3 years 9 months ago Total posts: 974 Joined: Oct 28 2016 San Clemente Veteran SoFi impressions - Grade D (And More Impressions) POST #120 We're gonna try one of the shuttles this weekend. Probably one of the smoothest venues in a big city. The express buses to and from the Loop/downtown Chicago have dedicated lanes and their own drop off pickup zones. The Uber/Lyft have their own lanes and assigned area. The problem is the Chicago rieshares have clearly marked stickers that allow cops to let them use their designated lanes/areas. by ziggy 3 years 9 months ago Total posts: 713 Joined: Apr 24 2018 LA Coliseum Veteran SoFi impressions - Grade D (And More Impressions) POST #119 Elvis, DirtyFacedKid liked this post Okay, so if you’re going to park at SOFI, expect a mess unless you leave 3rd quarter.
