Anyone remember a poster named Oh_Canada back on RRF? One of my faves. He did me a favour one day when he sent me a pic of a snowy owl he drew. Just in a PM. I only shared it with one of my sisters, and not electronically, since it seemed to be his source of income.

The details were amazing.

Keep doing what you are doing.

After searching far and wide, I finally found the perfect wood that is guaranteed to lower my scores. Its called a pencil. 8-)

This is going to be fun... :D

1. Ran away from my home in Tennessee when I was 13 and made it all the way to Seattle.
2. Was a Chinese linguist in the US Air Force for 11 years and have lived in Turkey, Italy, and Germany.
3. Contracted necrotizing fasciitis (flesh-eating disease) when I was injured while dog-sledding in Alaska.
4. Introduced my father to my best friend’s mother with the hope that they would fall in love and get married … and it actually happened.

It was like a come to Jesus moment for us hackers.

One of my playing partners, who I grew up with, hits under par all the time, wins his Club Championship yearly, gave me what he still calls the hardest high five in his life.

I did it.

I'm pretty sure I won't ever break 80. Right now I'm just trying to average bogey golf. Not there yet, but its starting to come around. The driving range at the course is closed so I can't hit any warmup balls.

Go figure. The last few rounds that way were 5 strokes better than before when I could warm up. I think I've been leaving part of my game at the range. Drives on the first few holes have been really good.

I used to be good for 3 triple bogeys per round on average. Usually on the first hole or two. Last few rounds I've only had one per round. And its always on the back nine when I wear down.

I usually golf with my grandson. The kid is a natural. Beautiful golf swing. Like the guys on TV. Shot a 75 a few weeks ago. A bad round for him is mid 80's. I wish he would spend more time with it. He can be really good if he worked more at it. But he's got a girlfriend, so we know how that goes.

I just started golfing again this year and was astounded by how many courses provided pencils with erasers. There's another way to make sure you always golf in the 80's.....quit on whatever hole you reach 89.

The "bad hole" or multiples of them has always been my downfall. Triples and quads typically (for me) come from above the shoulders.... :x

Yep, my son has a beautiful swing but just wouldn't stick with it. When I was hitting 6-irons he would hit pitching wedge, and it was so effortless.

The good news - it is highly unlikely he would EVER make a living golfing. One of my peers' son placed in the Junior Worlds at Torrey Pines, and played golf for Stanford. It is a major struggle to play on the tour even for him - even at the lower levels (Canada, Korn Ferry, etc...)

Many details and all semi believable. but I'll say,
#1, not to Seattle.

tho 3 is compelling.
