Thanks for posting the vid. I didn't get to watch the game.

Loved the play ... comical when the Dallas LB's looked like the keystone cops running into each other before chasing after Henderson.

@aeneas1 ... I know I'm asking for too much, but I'm gonna ask anyway. Any chance to put a video together with all of Henderson's plays? Including his blocking assignments.

I have a feeling that I'm really gonna like Henderson.

Mina is very good. She’s very sharp, articulate, and talented. So much better than many of the guy dolts we’ve been subjected to in recent years.

Andrew, MJD, and Mina are an exemplary team.

The only thing that makes me nervous about Henderson is how many preseason reps he's getting. Last year, guys who got this many reps were generally red shirted...

i would if i thought it was worthwhile but, honestly, so much changes once the real games start that i really don't see much value at the moment, jmo.

Perhaps, but if Henderson is indeed "red shirted," wouldn't that tend to mean that the Rams have a high level of confidence in Gurley's ability to handle a heavy workload?

I think it would be more about whether the Rams think Henderson is ready. Kelly obviously wasn't ready last year. When Gurley and Brown went down we signed CJ instead of letting Kelly have the job.

But there's a pretty big hole in my theory. I look at Noteboom and Allen sitting out preseason, Blythe last year and wonder why DJ is getting so many reps? Does this mean he doesn't figure in the coming season the way Noteboom/Allen/Blyth do/did?

Or is it because they all had a year with the Rams before starting whereas DH is a rookie who's had very little time with the team/coaches?

We shall see...

My guess (and that's all it is) is that we won't see much of Henderson this year in a traditional RB role (taking hand offs from the backfield on first and second down). I think we will see him as a receiver, possibly running jet sweeps, and taking handoffs on third and long from the shotgun (those "try to catch the defense sleeping" kind of plays). If Gurley needs a breather on first/second down, I think that role will primarily go to Brown.

Well, when Gurley and Brown don't both go down, how much would we expect Henderson to play? 3rd RB shouldn't get a tremendous amount of work, may as well give him the snaps in pre-season no?

3rd round RBs usually play significant snaps if they are good and ready.

Here are RB drafted in the 3rd over the past 5 years. I think all the good ones played significant snaps in their rookie year.

Darrell Henderson
David Montgomery
Devin Singletary
Damien Harris
Alexander Mattison
Royce Freeman
Alvin Kamara
Kareem Hunt
D'Onta Foreman
James Conner
Kenyan Drake
C.J. Prosise
Tevin Coleman
Duke Johnson
David Johnson
Matt Jones

Absolutely.
Does James Conner see "significant time" if LeVeon Bell doesn't hold out?
