A quick search for Missouri Court of Appeals Judge Philip M. Hess reveals that, prior to his appointment to the Eastern District, Judge Hess was a partner in the St. Louis law firm of Larsen & Hess. He was appointed to the Court of Appeals by Governor Jay Nixon.

I think that's all we need to know about where Judge Hess' sympathies might lie, relative to this case. For all we know, he might have been a St. Louis Rams' season ticket holder.

Good research. The NFL/Stan’s hope should be to catch a KC or rural judge. A St. Louis judge will just have an axe to grind.

Anyone wondering if the PD is still salty about the Rams' move, the answer is "yes, they are."

they did shit work and now they wonder why they no longer have football to write about ... go figure. They failed to write meaningful and interesting articles. They didn't educate the fans about football, and didn't develop appreciation for the NFL presence in St. Louis.

the PD shares the blame for the team leaving ... a full stadium and sold out luxury boxes would have kept the team in ST. Louis, no way would the NFL have let them move if the interest had been high.

Now they are bitter about their own failure.

though I agree that the PSL holders were shafted and deserve compensation, but it was worth it for Kroenke to diss them, I don't know if this falls under the current lawsuit or not.

Mickel-ass mailed it in most of the time ... one out of 20 articles were amazing ... 19 of 20 were self congratulations and total bogus articles. Burwell mailed it in 9 out of 10 times, he could have been a great sports writer.

While we're assigning blame to newspapers, why didn't the LA times stop the moves to Anaheim and St. Louis?

It's a once great newspaper that had to be sold by the Pulitzer family and is almost complete strip mined by corporate raiders. It's not just the sports desk, the rest of the paper has been trashed.
