I don't think they'll let it sit vacant for long. The Giants were a train wreck in the late 70's early 80's with Joe Pisarcik miracle in the Meadowlands nonsense and the Jets were having success with the Richard Todd era and the NY Sack exchange and STILL they were the red-headed step child compared to the GiantsNow the Chargers are going to play in front of 20k for 2 years while their QB winds out his career. By the time Englewood opens, the Chargers will be a mess. Sure I am planning on the Rams having success in the next 2 seasons, but it doesn't need to be SB wins. A real offense will do the trick as the D will be just fine. I think if the Raider do move as well that the loss of these two cities will speed the expansion up. I think it will still be in the immediate future but the pendulum will swing closer to the 5 year side vs the 10 year mark. by St. Loser Fan 8 years 5 months ago Total posts: 10889 Joined: May 31 2016 Saint Louis MO Hall of Fame Chargers will move to LA POST #108 Hacksaw wrote:So does SD become the new leverage city if this actually happens?I don't think so unless San Diego finds $500, 600 or 700 million of it's own lying around to throw at a team. It is ripe for another team, and the fans are pissed off at the Chargers right now for the most part. If they announced it was for leverage purposes and they were not leaving, they (the fans) would take them back. Not all of them, but the end of the stadium madness would be resolved so trust could be rebuilt.
