I wanted us to get him before he went to San Francisco. Local kid San Clemente. Reminds me of Steve Young. You can coach him up. Left handed. I also like Jameis Winston bringing him in. That arm is still great. But the QB draft not being good the next two seasons???? There are some good ones. The most prized Quarterback prospect since Trevor Lawrence will be in the draft Arch Manning and 32 teams would want him. Well there will be a lot of teams tanking for him. Raoiloa from Nebraska University the Patrick Mahomes look alike will be a prized prospect. He’s right after Arch Manning. So there are good prospects. I’m still very high on Carson Beck. I like his poise. And the LSU Quarterback can sling it. by RAMMAN76 1 month 3 weeks ago Total posts: 753 Joined: Nov 15 2021 Fort Worth TX Veteran Week 8: Vikings at Rams POST #102 actionjack wrote:One thing on the defense.Thank gawd Curl came back, that was scary. This is why though they might find it hard to walk away from Stafford, the Rams need to think of the long term. They also as much as they don't want to have to see what they can get for Kupp at the end of the season. A conditional 3rd is the going rate right now.I think Stafford will not want to uproot his family so I think he would retire, especially if he does it holding his second Lombardi. It's hard to know what Kupp would do. But I look at what he has done with Puka and he would be a tremendous WR coach. Can you imagine what it would be like if he can mentor Whittington and Johnson? Do I think a Super Bowl is realistic this year? Absolutely, it's what I mapped out 2 years ago and the Rams seemed to be following a similar time line.Watching the Ram's Dline I was really stoked to see how much Young has developed, and how good Verse is as a rookie. I had him as my top edge in the draft and was shocked to dropped to the Rams. I thought the Seahawks would grab him because he reminds me of a young Von Miller type of edge. He's got good length and speed. He's very strong and uses his hands well and has counters that most rookies lack. Shula is using Verse as a true OLB not simply as an edge. If he played edge fulltime his production would make him a lock for defensive ROY. But Shula is trying to develop him into a well rounded OLB not simply a pass rushing specialist. He's doing the same with Young and it's working. The OL doesn't know if only one is rushing or if both are coming. The bottom line is that the defense is aggressive and exciting to watch. They were beating up a decent OL of the Vikings. Their contain of Darnold was better as well, which doesn't bode well for Purdy and Murray. The Ram pass defense is ranked 18th in the NFL and improving. It's their early season issues with the run that drags the total defense ranking down to 22nd. I think by the end of the season the defense will be ranked in the top half of the NFL.The Rams are fun to watch on both sides of the ball.
