PARAM wrote:It's his design. 8 rushing attempts in the first half in 3 possessions. Mixed it up good. Just 3 in the first 18 minutes of the 2nd half. No jet sweeps. Few screen passes. Stafford deserves blame too. Again, Kupp or Puka (23 targets) and few targets for anybody else (Tutu 5, Higbee 3). Of course you want to get the ball into your playmakers hands but we have more than 2 playmakers.

And yet, after yesterday's game we sit at #8 (after sitting at #4 going in). It is a process. That also goes for the defense too, wouldn't you say?

Truth of it all is we got beat by a better team. Just like vs San Fran. But we were in both games, so there's that. It gives me confidence they will win a few more than they lose the rest of the season. And I can't ask for anything more than that.

I dont disagree with any of this, but wasnt the Rams offense supposed to score 30+ every game? I agree the defense has been better then feared and with some tweaks could be really good.

The offense is better but still inconsistent. Could we have run it more? maybe, but we need the ball Philly killed us on those long drives, defense couldnt get off the field even with multiple 3rd and longs.

The niners and philly are the class of the NFC we played them both tough, had them both on the ropes and lost. The schedule gets easier now but no team on our schedule can get overlooked. Rams will need to bring it next week against the cards.

The good news is this a conversation which means we are doing better than most expected, but a lot of season left, hopefully can continue to improve. I would be very happy with 9-10 wins for sure. Again what the Rams coaching staff and Sneads group have done is pretty amazing...

RAMMAN76 wrote:Well loosing 2 O linemen during the game defiantly hurt. But as I suspected McVay was in "Pass Happy" mode and abandoned the run. Too much 11 personnel, need to change things up.

The defense was good for the most part except for poor tackling and penalties; but with the offense struggling in the second half it was too much pressure for them.

"Michael Hoecht allowed four receptions on the same amount of targets for 65 yards." So he's a DB now? :shock2: Please stop this crap.

One other thing that bugs me; deferring the kick-off when winning the toss.
The defense is young and inexperienced, putting pressure on them to start the game rarely helps. Try taking the ball and scoring first for a change.

I disagree on the kick off, I want that ball coming out of halftime every game. The Rams have scored just fine in the first half.

Miami might disagree with that adage.

Speaking of which, since they presently seem to be innovative; we could benefit to crib an offensive play or two from them.

I think the team and hopefully coaches/play calling will improve. Could get us to 10 wins and possibly a wild card berth. The real question is can they get good enough to beat the whiners and the eagles.

We (including myself) have to kinda pump the brakes on the play calling. Staff can check in/out of at least 2 plays per call. He gets his pre snap reads and either checks or goes with the play call. They should have ran more to start the 3rd but we are looking at the stats. We don’t know if the pre snap read took those run away.

The Niners (and I hate saying this) are the class of the NFL now, they are the 2021 version of the star crossed Rams. Injuries to key niners would be the only chance the Rams would have at beating them. Eagles are very good, but possibly beatable if we made a move to bolster the pass rush.

We are competitive with a watered down roster, I am going to enjoy the journey with all the bumps. If we get to 9-10 wins a huge huge success.

Well their offense look pretty damn good even with backup QB's last year, now with Achane its on steriods...
