Would be hard to believe that either Jones would give up control (that he wouldn't give to Parcells or Johnson) or that Meyer would sign up without it.
Fer sure tho, it would be a splash and a seemingly great fit.
How about Dak's college coach Dan Mullen who wins wherever he goes?

I believe Urban Meyer will end up with the Cleveland Browns. I know they are interviewing other coaches as of now, but Urban and his family are not far from the Cleveland area. I'm keeping my eye on Matt Rhule. Don't be shocked if Mike Zimmer HC of the Vikings goes there as well. Rumors are floating the Cowboys could trade picks for him.

Looks like the Cowboys are trying to outdo their firing of Tom Landry in the embarrassment department.

I read somewhere they said, they "don't have to announce anything on his status because his contract expires on the 14th". Yeah, that's lame. Hell, not that the guy is going to get another HC gig right now, he can't even interview for one if someone asks him.

I saw the same tweet. There must be some sort of financial thing going on here where a firing triggers some sort of extra compensation for Garrett.

Can't imagine Cowboys are doing this to hurt Garrett, all indications are Jones thinks of him as family. So in their twisted and publicly embarrassing way, i think they're trying to do right by Garrett...

Who would have thought that it would have been faster to have Garrett impeached than fired?
