prob is the guy from cbs sports who started this by posting an article on the topic, only went went back to the 2012 season to give his point teeth, i.e. 0-8, but vinovich has actually headed crews in rams games dating back to the 2004 season, which included 2 rams wins, but let's not let that get in the way of mob mentality.

but even looking at the cherry-picked window he focused on to arrive at his 0-8 "shocker", here's who the rams faced:

2018 - eagles 9-7
2018 - saints 13-3
2016 - niners 2-4 (season opener in sfo, rams record was 4-12)
2015 - cardinals 13-3
2014 - eagles 10-6
2013 - panthers 12-4
2012 - packers 11-5

so as shitty as the rams were, it was suspicious that the rams didn't beat those double-digit win teams?

against the eagles this year, the rams were penalized 5 times for 50 yards, the eagles 6 times for 43 yards - did anyone believe vinovich's crew tilted that game in favor of the eagles?

against the saints the rams were penalized 4 times for 32 yards, the saints 2 times for 20 yards, highly suspicious? the hekker spot - didn't go the rams way, but it was early in the 2nd quarter with the game tied 14-14, the eagles got the ball back on their 13 and drove 87 yards for a td, the refs let them do that?

can you imagine how many ref crews will be pointed to as biased against the browns when they finally start winning, ha ha.

I hear what you are saying, but you cannot frak up the spot of the ball so badly, these types of calls are the ones that concern me.They are often game changers. Clear, Cleat evidence and it get fraked up.

Every game is full of officiating mistakes, you just notice them more when your team gets screwed by them.

That said, i'm with Avenger, maybe this will help us get a few breaks...

That is the only benefit that is possible from this.

There is ZERO chance that the league will change the crew.

Think about it... what would it say if they did (or, at least, how would it be read)... that the fans were right and crews are biased against teams? The league would have to be insane to do anything to add fuel to that fire.

Let's hope the refs are seen and not heard.

honestly aj, i've seen a lot of spots go the rams way this season, at least a couple i actually couldn't believe, and then there were some that the rams got away with because they intentionally got to the line quickly and snapped the ball.

all told, the rams were the 7th least penalized team in 2018, while the chiefs were the most penalized team, the seahawks went to the super bowl twice, and won one, despite being the most penalized team during those years.

in the rams games that vinovich crewed this year, saints and eagles, they rams were flagged 4 times and 5 times respectively, both counts were below what the rams averaged per game this year.

prior to mcvay the rams were consistently one of the most penalized teams in the league, all crew threw flags on them, not just vinovich's crews, and it wasn't because they had it in for the rams, it was because the rams were a horribly undisciplined team.

no fanbase thinks their team is favored by the refs, every fanbase thinks refs job their team.

So Vinovitch get's wind of this and 1 of 2 things could happen.
1. He realizes that folks are scrutinizing him and make twice as sure to get it right. Especially when it comes to the Rams.
or
2. He realizes that folks are scrutinizing him and he sticks a fork in them by doing more of what he's been doing with a little extra gravitas.

I don't like to blame ref's but there are so many contests where games are determined by their calls or lack of them. The only real part of sports which is out of the teams hands and very frustrating for fans.

Meanwhile, let's look at it this way. He clearly blew the call on Hekkers 1st down gadget play. Make up call is due us. If we are in a tight one, that make up call could be the deciding factor in our win.

GO RAMS.

I heard somewhere that the Rams were practicing something called "The Longest Yard vasectomy play," just in case.
