Wasn't this addressed back in February or March already? Pretty sure this is nothing but rehashing the original concerns before the FAA did it's study and found no problems.

I will be curious to hear more about this. I wonder if the possible problem the FAA is seeing is with TCAS, or ILS or transponders. Or does the stadium have some plans to use analog signals and place some sort of receiving/transmission antenna up there. Analog can and does effect radar. However I think it will all be a easy fix once the radar type HF (height finder) weather, collision, etc is found out. The then they can just focus on the specs of the system, freq range, modulation, bw, pd, etc. So they should be able able to solve any problems of ambiguities or ghosting depending on what concern the FAA is seeing.

I don't know. I've been to Inglewood and the planes flying over are real close. Evey minute a plane flys over. Hopefully the designers (HKS) could find a solution to make everyone happy. Fingers crossed.

This happens every day, all day long in San Diego

This happens every day, all day long at San Diego Lindberg International Airport.

If it was an issue, this parking structure will certainly be gone.

The Inglewood stadium is not an issue with what is being talked about. No way, no how. The old racetrack would have been an issue then. Its grandstands would be about the same height as the top of this stadium. Never a peep herd on its existence by the feds. And never a subject matter for the airlines landing at LAX. Same as San Diego.

People who have experience in this area know different.

Are they going to need to lower that also?

Levi stadium is as close to San Jose International and MUCH higher than the Inglewood stadium.

This is non-player. Trust me. There are much higher structures much closer to International airports in this country than this stadium.

Welcome to RFU SWAdude.
Agreed.
Although this is apparently released expressing a concern by the FAA, this is obviously an attempt to affect the NFL's decision making process. I'll say it again, the timing of this release is extremely suspect.

Thanks Hacksaw!!

Its good to be here! :)

Welcome aboard SWAdude and thanks for your expert input.

I'm confident too this isn't an issue. FAA doing their due diligence, raising all potential issues...

I'm a contractor and was rehabbing a home on the hill on Point Loma directly in Lindbergh Fields flight path.. In the mornings the Jumbos come out of the West. I'll tell you, when I was on this homes roof it felt like the landing gear were going to hit me in the head. This happens twice every 5 minutes all day long so hills, and buildings are not the problem. The reflectivity of the roof apparently isn't either but coatings will likely be required. Problem likely solved.
