I wonder if she and Salters sound the same or if Mowins is the one I've been randomly hearing doing MLB and NFL games? If so, I've never even heard of her and her rise through the broadcasting ranks is even more puzzling (IMO).

I hope Witten knocks it out of the park because I'm still pretty disappointed that Kurt Warner didn't get that gig. I think he's still doing Westwood One radio but I, as biased as I am, thought he was ready for the primetime gig. He's got the looks, the pedigree and has enough broadcasting experience now to have got the job.

Oh, and typical ESPN, they did everything they could to (over)dramatize Stafford getting spiked and predicting he'd have a catastrophic injury. They seemed desperate for him to have blown out his knee when on replay, it was clear that he just got spiked in the leg and was "walking it off".

My ears are bleeding having to listen to her. She's horrible!

I am only listening to get to the Rams game.

She was the local TV Raider announcer last year.

Trying to sound like a jock. Not very appealing.

In a sport where women don't play and for the most part don't coach, why does ESPN have a woman in the booth, woman on the sidelines and a woman back in the studio? Does a gender that's not really involved with the subject matter offer much insight to the equation? I guess the perspective from an outside point of view has some value but overall it seems like pandering.

I'm just in a bad mood having to listen to ESPN. They just said that Josh McCown handled Darnold getting drafted to replace him "better than anyone in the history of the game". Literally said that.

Just like the Stafford "injury" earlier in the game. ESPN is the epitome of pandering to the lowest common denominator by sensationalism and hyperbole. It's disgusting.

Couldn't say it better myself. I question on another blog many months ago about Jessica Mendonca on Sunday Night Baseball. She's cute and all but having her explain how hit a 98 MPH slider strikes me as odd knowing she never has hit one. It's just this world we live in where everyone has to be PC.
