Everyone knows that the Earth is unique as it is shaped like an isosceles triangle...duh.

Oh come on it is shaped like a football and on the two sides are set of Rams horns and the rest of the world just call these mountains but we all know they are Rams horns.

I dunno. Maybe Sammy's on to something. I go outside and my town sure looks flat. I don't know what the rest of the earth looks like. I don't get out much.

I didn't watch the video ... it was probably by the same reporter that bought an interesting book ... came home and realized that on the back it said 3-5 years ... she returned it because she didn't want to spend that much time reading one book.

Watkins probably used that term in a figurative way ... economics, politics, foreign relations, etc .... for example ... North Korea used to be thought of a country on the other side of a round world, things that happened there had no effect on our economy, etc. Foreign relation wise, economically, and politically ... it isn't that way anymore more.

Watkins is right ... the earth used to be round ... but now it is flat

Take football for example ... when the earth was round, people on the other side of the ocean couldn't comprehend what American Football is. They would need to go to schools to fathom that their football = soccer and North American football = real football. Now days you turn on the TV to watch some European sports and you see guys taking a knee in before game and now during the game you can tackle someone and not get a red card.

Watkins is right ... the earth used to be round ... but now it is flat.

When I was young, and much more stupid then I am now, I sailed across the Pacific. I kept looking for the drop off point, but alas, never found it. All I recall is that every degree is approx 60 miles, and no matter how clear it is, that's about as far as you can see before the world drops off (from the perspective of what you can see).
