Actually it will hit him in the shoulder. He's pretty small. 8-)

Notice how they used him as a decoy like 5 times before giving him the ball for a near TD? McVay is thinking ahead...

I am with you on this. He has value and will get more and more touches as a RB and receiver and on the jet sweep. Is he with the $?? He is if we keep winning

Dumbest contract move. Almost like Fish did it for the benefit of Hard Knocks and nothing else.

Lol on trading TA.
I love these ideas.
He's way overpaid, doesn't produce and doesn't have a position on the field but somebody else will trade for him??? Haha
He's a gadget player and Mac will make best use of him as they can this year. Is he worth the $$? Heck no but it costs more to get rid of him at this point so may as well make the best of it

Yeah a trade would be great for us but that Albatross of a contract will make it improbable at best.
Some team may need a fumbling east west midget gadget player so you never know.
Meanwhile, he should not be allowed to be our PR until he works on his hands.

So gadget away McVay and try to get our money's worth out of TA. 8-)

My memory was a little short, so I looked it up. In 2015, Tavon Austin amassed 1,195 yards on one of the league's worst offensive teams. He scored 10 touchdowns. Got 44 first downs. Five receiving touchdowns, all 20 yards or longer. Fumbled once in 16 games as a receiver or runner. He did fumble twice as a punt returner, and scored only one TD on returns. By comparison, Julian Edelman fumbled five times while returning fewer punts in 2013, and fumbled three times in 2011. For some reason, though, the Patriots have kept letting Edelman return punts year after year. Austin may be the most useless player on the team, but he is also the fastest, at 4.34, and it's not close. He's one of the fastest players in the league, Cris Collinsworth said on Thursday, and he was not being critical. I would guess there will be plenty of takers after this season. Belichick has done all right over the years by plucking underused talent from other teams at deep discounts. I would hope that Sean McVay would ignore Austin's pay level, which is not relevant at the moment, and see what he could do to help the team win some games this year.
