It makes no sense. But this is the NFL we're talking about. Still, those past event's will likely be weighed into this saga at some point. They may sway a vote or a few.
It comes down to $ and these days for the NFL also,, good PR. Hard to see them let 2 teams move at one period.
Plus the mess in StL would be epic until the spin doctors completed their mission. I don't think the league want's to take on an owner at all, especially in a public lawsuit they might lose.

On a toxic waste dump.

. . . After the NFL went the extra mile to develop their own plan for the Raiders to play in Hollywood Park, only to have the Raiders give the NFL the finger, move back to Oakland without permission, and sue the league.

People like to spin the idea of precedent and such into this relocation stuff. Think of the precedent that would be set if the league let the Raiders move to LA to solve their stadium problems after the Raiders gave the finger to the LA solution the league gave the Raiders to solve their stadium problems.

Honestly, the Raiders tenure in LA was a black mark to the city and the NFL, and no one wants them here outside of their thug, trash fans. Corporate sponsors don't want them, and PSL buying fans don't want them. There's plenty of the thug low life Raider goons in LA, so I'm not going to deny their existence, but please. I really think Pasadena balked on being a relocation site because of the possibility of Raider nation coming on Sundays. This guy Davis has to be the least respected owner in the NFL. This type of childish crap is typical from this organization. San Diego is also a good NFL market, a 50 year NFL market, that has hosted Super Bowls. With realignment, toxic cleanup yet to be completed, temporary venue issues, and longer delay, the NFL has to be an idiot to go with Carson. But they've done dumb stuff in the past.
