Fulham owner Shahid Khan is considering selling the club and buying Tottenham in a deal that could also see his NFL team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, move into the new White Hart Lane. . . .

heh, ya, I know this has been denied and discredited, but hey!
Reminds me of when the Glazers were supposedly going to move the Buccaneers because they had an English soccer team.

Khan has spent hundreds of millions of dollars improving the Jacksonville stadium in recent years. Seems unlikely that he'd do that if he was planning on moving.

So, why do you believe these rumors more than AEG being the favorite to land the NFL back in LA? Or any number of other rumors that are just wild speculation?

The only reason is Khan because he's from Illinois and he put in a bid for the St. Louis Rams, however, Kroenke is from Missouri and all of us know how that is working out for the Show Me State, so who knows? But as far as the landscape of the NFL back in the 90's the NFL wanted St. Louis, but once the ownership group led by Walter Payton failed the powers that be did not like the new money man that St. Louis came up with which was none other than Enos Stanley "Stan" Kroenke and went with Wayne Weaver of Jacksonville who they really liked better.

Very True at the time the owners were not impressed by Stan they felt he was a yokel that's another reason IMO EJK wants this so bad in Los Angeles he wants to prove some that remain wrong, but anyway that's the reason the Jags to St. Louis has legs and there were rumors from the outset that the Riverfront Stadium's end game all along was Khan not Kroenke!

Hundreds of millions? I know they made some improvements, but it looks like it was more like 10 million, not "hundreds"

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Big changes are coming to EverBank Field.

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Wednesday that it has agreed to terms with the City of Jacksonville on $63 million in improvements for the stadium.

The improvements are set to include a north end zone fan engagement area and two new end zone score boards that will be "the largest of their kind in the world," according to a release from the Jaguars.

"Jaguars fans are going to fall in love with the new EverBank Field," said team president Mark Lamping. "We do not take for granted the emotional and financial investment of Jaguars fans. In return, we're doing everything we can to produce a winner on the field, but in the areas we control - like the in-stadium experience at EverBank Field - we owe our fans nothing less than the very best, and that's what they can expect soon at EverBank Field."

The forthcoming improvements will go along with $10 million in upgrades already funded by Jaguars owner Shad Khan, including a new training room and weight room as well as locker room upgrades.

The last thing I heard was $250M. If it's only $10M, that's a different story for sure.

The figure ya might have heard could also include his plans to upgrade the shipyards by the stadium where his plans include a marina, hotel, skyscrapers, amphitheater and some other buildings the cost is estimated to be about a billion and is supposed to be a public effort and a private effort by him. So his cost could be the 250 million. As far as I know so far he has spent 40 mil on upgrading the weight room, training room and other parts of the stadium.

According to article I just found it says he has spent 31 mil and mentions his involvement with the city to upgrade the shipyards. I could have sworn I read he spent 40 mil but it appears it was only 31 mil at least at the time of the article which was Feb of this year.

In the three years since buying the franchise, Khan has spent $31 million of his own money to upgrade the locker room, the weight room, the training room and helped fund the installation of two wading pools and the world's largest scoreboards.

Look, I know I may be waaaaay off base, but could it be possible that maybe he likes J-ville? Also, unlike the cheesy pools where the AZ D-Bags play, he ain't gonna get pools like these in StD.

Best seats at NFL game might be poolside in Jacksonville

I don't know if the story is legit but the buzz certainly is. It's coming from somewhere and the national reporters are buying into it...
