I have reluctantly come out of the bunker to address those with concerns about the FAA and approving this stadium. This pic was taken of Levi stadium the other dark and stormy night landing at San Jose International. Did not zoom in the camera or anything that might give any form of digital deception. We flew 850 feet above the ground on profile. At LAX we fly 1100 above the ground in almost the exact position over the runway of concern on profile.

This truly is a non issue and conversations between the FAA and developers happen all the time. Back to the bunker.

GO RAMS!!!

Doesn't LAX have like 4 times as many aircraft landing/takeoffs than San Jose?

Look, I think this is just petty politics and someone at the FAA wants an unmarked envelope of cash and season tickets.

Is there any chance they've got to use taller cranes in Inglewood because of the bigger stadium size and the roof? Maybe Levi's Stadium didn't need tall cranes because of it's design.

I know when I saw Miller Park in Milwaukee getting built, they used some monster sized ones there.

FAA doesn't work like Spock where the needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few. Aviation in general doesn't work this way. So frequency of flights isn't within the FAA's metrics.

I have no comment on the conspiracy theory. Aviation is generally an above board group of people.

I have no doubt the FAA had concerns with cranes at San Jose as well. There will be an ongoing conversation with the FAA and the stadium developers throughout the construction. And some will try to spin that as a "problem". If you get my jest.

Probably about the same attendance as 49ers games.
