I'm relieved, and here's why:

1. Jeff Fisher is clearly on his way out the door. There is absolutely no disputing that now.
2. We have our long term QB solution on the field.
3. That great big beautiful stadium is only a couple years away.

I wish I could be as calm as you. I was pretty calm most the game as it seemed, for the first time this season, the Rams had the game in the bag.

Then the last 6 minutes arrived. I became a cuss fest tyrant and the family, dog and gold fish cleared out. I was by myself, once again, as is the case all too often with this team. I am still somewhat peeved, but if it helps escort out "Pig Vomit" sooner rather than later, then all good for the long term.

It's funny, last week, I couldn't give a rats ass who won. This week a totally different story. I guess that's the affect of a future QB.

I wasn't so irate over the loss. It was more seeing that there are still people out there who don't get that Fisher is 100% responsible for the product on the field.

It's so simple. Just combine these 3 things and you describe Fisher:

1. He picks players who are dumb as a rock though he calls them very smart.

2. He fosters a total lack of discipline environment and it shows up in critical situation time and again.

3. His offense is archaic, unimaginative, and stagnant, and he picks assistants who have no business coaching in the NFL to run it.

There is no way this will change under Fisher. He must go.

I agree with #3 100%, #1 and #2, not so much.

BTW: Miami had 8 penalties for 82 yards, we had 8 for 70...

Its a trap to just count penalties without counting WHEN they happened.

Discipline is not committing dumb penalties in critical situations. Fisher's teams do it repeatedly.

And that problem is exacerbated by the fact that the offense is so bad that they have zero margin to make those errors.

Yep. Miami's penalties were every bit as critical, except they made enough plays to win...

When they lose they are probably right, but every other team has a better offense than the Rams. So the Rams can least afford to make those critical time penalties.

I do know this, if somehow the Raiders come to LA, Kroenke will get the crap kicked out of his business if he doesn't get his head out of his butt when comes to this team.

I was at the game. The turning point in that game was when Fisher decided to kick a field goal instead of going for a first down. They were less then six inches away!!! Talk about not trusting your QB.... no instead they try to kick a field goal in the rain.... and "thunk" hit the up right. After that, I knew it was going to end badly.

It was still a two score game, regardless if they made the field goal or not. If they went for the first down, it would have taken more time off the clock and hopefully get you closer to the end zone for a score or closer to the up rights for a better chance at making field goal.

Goff played OK for his first real NFL game. No turn overs and only 1 tipped pass that I can remember. Had this been Keenum, at least one int and several tipped passes.

Maybe next time Bor-Ass and Fisher will remember that Goff is playing and come up with a game plan better suited to his arm strength, which is one of the reasons he was drafted. Left him go deep at the beginning to the game and maybe, just maybe the opposing defense will stop putting 8 in the box and give the running game a chance.

We must have gone into cruise control. We had the game in the bag. Less than 5 minutes, the other Fish just got their first 1st down of the game (0-10 b4), our D had been dominating, the kid was playing as good as could be expected yada...

Seems to me more plays like the preseason post to Cooper (that he dropped) would be in order. Vertical routes. Attack all depths. Open it up for TGII.

I assume Boras dialed some of the plays back even though it was advertised he wouldn't. I wouldn't be surprised if the rain didn't contribute to the conservatism as well as the 'phins' D.
Very disappointing kind of loss, not to mention again,, it put a nail in our playoff hopes.
