According to Alden Gonzalez the Rams won't play Goff until they are 100% sure he is ready.

He also said they don't know how ready he is.

Now that explains Fisher. His logic is baffling.

Well that explains it though.
Because if Fisher doesn't know what 100% means, then how will Goff ever be ready?

My opinion is this, Kroenke made the push for the trade and Fisher was cool with it because he was getting an extension.
When the extension didn't happen, Fisher honestly thought he could win with Keenum so he didn't prepare Goff, and that once he had his extension, Goff would play.
Now he's keeping Goff on ice so he can play the "Goff getting a year as a starter in his system" card. Or if he doesn't get the extension it can look bad on the organization for "not giving him the chance". All my .02 but makes the most sense to me.
And by making sense, doesn't mean I agree with it...

For now it appears the Rams will finish out the plan they committed to, whether it’s right or wrong: insert Goff when they believe he is perfectly polished, then hope the wait was worth it.

Since when is anyone ever perfectly polished before he plays a snap? Part of the process is the learning curve while playing. You have to take your lumps. If Goff were the starter this year I could see next year being a legit contending season. So now we gotta wait an extra year? He takes his lumps next year and 2018 is the year?

If Fisher's decisions are based on his job security, he's making a calculated mistake. He woulda had a built in excuse playing a rookie. And if that rookie took off, he looks like a genius. So now he's hitched his wagon to a .500 or worse QB with limitations. If he actually thought they would win with that, maybe he should not be extended. Maybe he's lost his marbles.

There was a time I would scour the web and look for anything Fish or the coaches had to say about our team. These days heaven help me whenever I read what they have to say all I hear is blah, blah, blah.

Well, that's the thing, its all conjecture.
EXCEPT for one thing.
Fisher undeniably thought he could win with Keenum. And keep in mind, he's had Keenum on his roster a couple times, knows exactly what he's got.
That is the issue.
You scrape out a couple wins with guys like Keenum, but cant make a season with.
His blind faith in Keenum is the culprit of throwing this season away

Realize it or not, you just gave the closing argument for Fisher's firing.

Also, we've been pretty healthy on offense this year. There really are few, if any, excuses for the offense.

The defense has had much many injuries but as usual they're the far better unit...

I do see dramatic improvement with the WR and the passing game play calling. The execution has been poor though. Makes me wonder if it's Groh's doing?
