Red Zone passing From the Bench is harder than one might think.

Miles from my own "breaking point." But in semi-vent fashion:

For once the Rams actually looked a lot like the better team on the field both on offense and defense. So taking a double digit "L" is kind of disgusting.

Fisher-ball works about half the time. Yesterday was about right. All except the wimpiness of not going for the TD from the 4 yard line on fourth down. That just boggles all logical minds. No way they score two more times with that popcorn fart offense. This is not a big play or fast marching offense. The big plays they get are defenses caught with their pants down on running downs.

With two pick-6 plays, Case is now doing exactly what all Ram QBs have been ordered NOT to do since St. Kurt and his busted chicken wing looking thumb were barfing up footballs all over the yard. This is very, very bad form.

I badly want to say that having safeties play pretend-linebacker (PLB) just begs a defense to get "run on and run over" but not having those three starting defensive linemen keeps me at least another week from doing so. Forrest (SRLB - semi-real linebacker) at least looks like he moves well. No idea if he was in the right place on any given snap.

The Ram play calling strategy is offensive crap. Horizontal tosses within 3 yards of the line of scrimmage is for pee wee football QBs who have to use both hands to attempt a forward pass. Just stop it Boras. Or Groh. Or Weike. Or Fish, or whoever wears the skirt in that scenario.

That said, this offensive line is not NFL worthy and is being asked to do too much. Too many whiffs leading to stuffs, pressures, hits and outright assaults on the QB/TB positions. This five will not work no matter the playing time. Shoulda got a FA guard and any professional center last year (oh yeah, that's right, the Rams couldn't really do better in 2015 because they knew they were moving to LA a few years ago and good teams don't get to switch cities). Robinson is going to get somebody knocked the eff out this year. And get a real %$@%&% fullback if you insist on telling the world you are a running team. Harkey is a nice blocking TE, but he's too tall for FB. Low pads wins.

Frankly, Fisher Ball is having a pretty good year. Over .500! E. Stash will barely elevate his heartbeat over this stuff. The next excuse (after the never ending turmoilage of the change in ownership, changes in coaches, GMs, QBs, potential move, NFL owners voting decision, moving to another state) is of course the opening of the new mega-multi-media-hero stadium.

Relax, it's only another two years of lame, transparent excuses. Then maybe another to "get comfortable." No biggie. Ram fans can do that standing on our heads. And the defense and punter look good.

Hey did somebody just open a window?

Perhaps Case should start running the ball in himself when we get down to the goal line. 8-)

With Johnson out now we won't be able to stop the run OR pass.

This is when you need a Offense to pick up the slack and put points on the board.

Stafford is licking his chops right now.

"This game pushed me close to my breaking point."

I'm not really sure what this means. What happens if you get pushed past your breaking point? What then? Because, you know, it could happen. Best to plan ahead.

Glendale:

When I exceed my breaking point, I usually start smiling :) ; that indicates a complete meltdown for me.

Rams games for me over the last 50 + years are a time of quiet contemplation and brooding, and talking to my Chihuahua.

Can't wait to see how this moving train wreck gets itself ready to take on Detroit.

Its the 5th year of this stuff.
Wins surprise me more than losses do.
All I can say is that Fisher has given me hope we can win any game we play, but lose just the same.
Start Goff and keep Keenum ready. Its not that difficult

Indeed, plan ahead to find other things to do with your Sundays. Life is too short to be annoyed on your Sundays.

I can relate to this. I used to talk to my Yellow Lab during games. Now I talk to my Charcoal Lab pup. The pup is less interested in what I have to say to him, whereas my Yellow Lab used to watch TV with me. He usually seemed engaged and pretty interested in what I had to say about a Rams' game in progress. And he always got excited when the Rams scored a touchdown (as rare as that was). My Charcoal Lab is learning, though -- at least I think he is. But he doesn't watch the TV. And while he is excited when the Rams score, his excitement level is about the same whether the Rams have scored or turned the ball over, or punted, or fake punted. Still, I do agree that talking to your dog during a game is an excellent idea.

Rams74:

Aside: Last time my wife and I went to a Rams game in Arizona, we ate at a German restaurant in Glendale. I can't remember the name. Best German food I have ever eaten.

I highly recommend it.

And yes, talking to one's dog is very therapeutic.

Go Rams!

Hack64 and I we chatting that Goff could have made those mistakes that Keenum makes too. But less likely. Hitch pump and go anyone. Oh that's right CK can't throw that far.

How about a double move, post corner route pumping the post then ripping the deep corner throw? Oh yeah, he can't make that throw either
