If the vote fails, his clock runs out on Jan 18th I think then the Raiders are on the clock for one year. If after that year, the raiders choose to not exercize thier option. LA becomes a free agent again as far as possible relocation destination and any team (including the Chargers or Raiders) would have to go to vote again.

Spanos is an idiot for making that period so short. Stan has to be laughing his ass off.

I dont think it was his choice. I think it is pretty clear that the NFLput on a dog and pony as far as the concessions to Spanos and Davis. Their intentions have always been to keep the Chargers in SD and the Raiders out of LA. The Vegas option is a blessing to them because now they dont have to worry about the Raiders pushing the Chargers to LA.

I am still concerned that a stadium that was suppose to be shovel ready this past January was delayed to August because of last seasons El Nino and now a few months away from breaking ground at the beginning of the next rainy season.

I have built four homes, three in California with two during an El Nino and they seriously delayed the projects due to grading issues with rain. I can't imagine what that would do to the big dig.

For all we joke about the FAA stuff, i don't think they've given approval yet. Whether that's normal or they're still working something out, i don't know...

Make a big mud pool and shut it down, , , pumps going 24 - 7. The illogical sequence of events you noted should give us all pause.

Yes, that is correct. Right now SD and Oakland have some leverage with the threat of moving to another location. But down the road, he's saying the NFL wouldn't mind there being only one team with the stadium being build to accommodate two teams. If other cities think they could lose their team to LA, they might try a little harder to pony up some funds for a new stadium.

Say what you want about St Louis, but they came close to keeping the Rams. It was only because the threat of them leaving was real. Fortunately for us, we have an owner that had a bigger vision.

Does it really rain that much in LA to delay stadium site excavation by 6 months?

It was supposed to have ,, but it didn't. Unusual warm ocean temperatures change the jet stream and bring us big rain. Just didn't happen.
