Obviously something hasn't gone well in StL regarding pro football. 3 teams / 1 city ??? common denominator?

Yeah, I'm with A-1,, these vendors, consultants, supplier guys must have had balances on the books.

Maybe some entity wants to complete the stadium permit-ability? It may have been close. If the funds being invoiced are for completion of a pkg which could be sold now or later, perhaps it's a good thing. OK that's a stretch..

They are paying for the Dome lease and these potentially frivolous expenses for what though? That sucks. Who wrote that deal?

I have to admit the being billed for work done prior makes sense and was my initial thought. Then I read in the article were it said thusly............But more than $240,000 was billed to the St. Louis Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority for work done between March 1 and 31, two months after the plan had seemingly been shelved..............So looks like from what print is saying is this current bill is for work provided during the month of March which is in fact two months after the move was approved. So to bad no one is willing to be interviewed so far as I am curious to hear a reason or explanation.

Kroenke had little conection to St. Louis except for owning the Rams and about 1/3rd of the strip shopping malls in town. He didn't even have a residence in St. Louis.

Supposedly he owned a penthouse in downtown Clayton, but it was never built out and eventually bought by one of the Blues players who then had the place finished to something livable. If he came to St. Louis to see a game or hit the former offices in Earth City, he'd always fly back to his main home in Columbia MO which is 125 miles away.

If Stan Kroenke was a St. Louis local, then Dean Spanos is a Los Angeles local.

I just remember him being a StL advocate. He helped secure the Rams from LA. A Missouri guy named after famous StL ball players. Business headquarters somewhere around there. How many StL natives told us LA guys we wee crazy to think he would turn against his own and take the Rams to Cali..

You may be right that he doesn't really identify himself as a St Louisan, at least not any more,, but I don't identify him as a Californian... or Denverite either. Enos Stanley has a StL ring to it.

All fair points but still not enough to ever call him a St. Louis local. Not when he helped Georgia move the Rams, when he bought the team fully or when me moved them back to LA.

Our stupidity and your superiority has already been established.

Like a lot of billionaires he's a rolling stone, a resident of the world and no one place in particular. Though there are claims his Malibu mansion has been his favorite home (out of his many) for a long while.

I guess. Can't blame him either,,, Malibu is NICE.

I'd say that rolling stone is about to embed himself into SoCal from here on.

GO RAMS.
