I expect them to trade up somehow and pick Cook after they take a WR or CB at 15.

My thoughts are that Fisher has made it clear that Gurley is the centerpiece of his offense. He has gone on record, saying you build your team around Gurley. So Fisher isn't really looking for a centerpiece QB. And don't see him giving up the farm to move up for Goff or Wentz who will go in the top 7.

The Rams could go for Lynch at 15. But Lynch is much more of a project than Cook, and Lynch's potential is more of a centerpiece guy too. I think Fisher would rather have a stud CB than a long term project like Lynch. Certainly there will be a WR or CB on the board at 15 that have a better rating on the Rams board than Lynch.

Personally, I'm hoping they land Treadwell at 15 and then can maneuver to get Cook or possibly Lynch later in the first round or high in the 2nd round.

This just feels to me like the way Snead and Fisher operate. These guys love extra picks, they hoard extra picks, they live for extra picks, they aren't about to give away a bunch of picks especially for anyone in this draft.

I just see Cook as a Fisher guy. And that a-hole reputation that he's got will blend nicely with Fisher's.

Also, I think Treadwell would make the biggest impact on this offense this year. He's a great blocker and would fit perfectly with Gurley and compliment Tavon well.

So I'm going with Treadwell and Cook to the Rams in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Write it down, if it happens it was pure luck on my part.

Max, I think if they want any of these QBs they will have to pull the trigger at 15 then go WR or TE or both in Rd 2. Because there are only 3-4 "rated" by pundits to be first rounders - and probably all 4 rated as first rounders by NFL people - the scramble for the teams that need one to take one will be palpable. We could see The Browns, Cowboys, and whiners all take QBs ahead of us - possibly the Eagles. Now factor in the teams below us that need and/or might want to upgrade of get the future guy.(Bears, Saints, Chiefs, Broncos) and you can see what waiting to get one could mean not getting one at all. I, for one, don't want one of the other developmental guys unless the team truly thinks that guy's ceiling is way higher than Mannion's.

I am going Lynch/Cook then Hunter Henry and Tyler Boyd to round out our tip 3 picks

I don't want a TE in round 2. I'd rather take an interior OL, particularly a stud OC. Or a ball hawking Safety in the 2nd round.

I keep hearing that from around pick 20 to pick 50 they are the same quality player. So, if there is a OC or Safety that is the same rating as Henry, I take the OC or Safety.

Of course, this all assumes we get a QB and WR with our top 2 picks.

I'm in the same camp Max. Give me a FS or CB with our second 2nd rounder and take a 3rd or 4th as a TE.

1) Lynch
2) WR
2) FS
3)CB
4) TE
6) C

I would not have a problem with either outcome: (a) Treadwell/Cook, or (b) tradeup for Wentz/Goff.

Man if we can't trade up for Goff/Wentz I sure hope we get Lynch. If the Rams end up drafting Connor Freakin Cook at 15, I'll be sooooo disappointed

I get where you are coming from. Here is why I disagree; 1. We have players on the roster that we have developed at S. So unless players at S are rated higher then Henry, I take Henry. 2. We are very thin at TE. Yes, we have Kendricks but he scares no one as a pass catcher. We need a deep seam threatening, explosive TE...who can actually catch. 3. TE's will come in and acclimate to the NFL faster than rookie WR's, so I value a great college TE over a great college WR - and none of the WRs seem "great" except maybe Treadwell, which is the guy you want. 4. A great TE is a QBs best friend/security blanket.

But, depending on how the draft falls, drafting S or corner or DE is a smart idea if BPA

I can't argue with selecting a stud OC over Henry however. I would support that totally. I also can't necessarily argue against oldschool's layout IF Tyler Higbee is the TE in the 4th. LOVE that kid.

So:

1. Lynch/Cook
2. Boyd/Henry
2. Ryan Kelly (OC)/Corey Coleman (if no Boyd)
3. Vonn Bell (S)/Karl Joseph (S)
4. Higbee (if no Henry)/Shilique Calhoun (DE)/Carl Nassib (DE)
6. Brad Cradock (K)

Light matches now :)

I think Cook is getting screwed with this A-hole reputation thing, even the team captain thing has been explained. I think teams are talking him down because the want him. Teams like the Jets, Broncos, Eagles, even maybe even the Cards could be looking to draft him.

Good point and agree.

Nothing is true right now if it's spoken outloud to the media....

Not sure now if Higbee gets drafted.

According to a police report obtained by Zach Greenwell of the Bowling Green Daily News, Higbee punched a man outside a Kentucky bar and left the victim with a brain hemorrhage. As of Monday morning, the victim is in stable condition, but still unresponsive.

In addition to that arrested for second degree assault, public intoxication and evading police.
