Even Kaepernick would be an improvement but he's going to go to a contender. Rather have Griffin instead of Manziel. Sanchez , Hoyer,, who has more upside than RG3? If we can grab one of the top college kids I'd prefer that, but I just don't see that happening either. If Griffin wants to play for the Rams and since the Rams need an upgrade,, I'd pull the trigger. . Otherwise it's Keenum, Mannion or bust..

This is my same assessment.

I am just glad we are not in the news for interest in Kraepernick. I have invested too much effort hating on him.

I am with you on that!!

I think he can be pretty damned good in the right offense. However the perfect offense for making him look terrible is the Rams offense

Why not take a shot on him? As the article says, he's probably healthy since he hasn't played in so long. Before his knee injury, it sure seemed like he could be a success in the NFL. And maybe, after all he's been through, he'd appreciate the opportunity enough to have the proper attitude.

I don't see much downside - except Dieter's last sentence.

Edit - Just to be clear, I'm talking about RGIII - not Kaepernick.

Very sad, but probably true.

I'd like to see RG3 come to the Rams too.

And that's a little weird since my general take is no QB will do well on the Rams so why waste significant resources on a position we don't know how to use to our advantage?

I guess my one hope is the Groh hire is more significant than i think it is, that he has the chops to add a much needed passing attack to our repertoire and, more importantly, that's actually what he's here to do...

Best looming apacolypse

The Los Angeles Rams issued a first-round tender to restricted free-agent quarterback Case Keenum -- a player who has been released three times, traded once for a seventh-round pick and has never had higher than a 47.7 QBR in a season. The Rams say he is their starter entering the offseason, and the move was designed to dissuade opposing teams from signing him to an offer sheet. What's worse? That the Rams were worried about someone stealing him away, or that -- given the desperate quarterback market -- they probably made the right move?

I actually like the fact they didn't end up without a QB like the Broncos. Decent plan B and can hold the spot for a rookie.
