So we've signed some of our good guys and some of our scrubs.
And nobody from outside.
Yawn
Another Rams off season in full bloom
Our WR core is still the worst in the league

We never do much in FA under Fisher and now we're losing some of our best players. Not surprising but not inspiring either.

Still, it's early.

I wonder if anything is in the works with Fairley?

Also noticed neither Long nor Laurinitis were in the top tier frenzy today...

Actually, they both could've signed with teams last week when they were released. I do find it interesting that neither has signed yet. I would love to bring Long back at a reduced price prove it deal. He was a team leader and had some injuries the past few years. I think he's still got some top game left in the tank.

As far as the Rams playing it slow...most of the good teams do. The Packers/Patriots and others don't go out and overpay on the first day of FA. Once the dust settles you can find better bargains for depth and use the draft to build your team. I would've liked to see Jones at WR but after him there just isn't anybody worth the price. Quick is coming in cheap and they will draft a WR and TE to add weapons. I know it looks like they're doing nothing but not overpaying on day one is actually a good strategy. They did keep their key targets in Barron and Hayes...Sims is still out there too. Again, I would rather have Long at a discount.

LOL. No kidding. If the dude has been hurt for the last 1 1/2 seasons they kept it secret last year. Not much PT. They must think he has something or he is Jerry Rice in practice. ????? :?

Man, you and I sure do think alike. Draft and devleop. Re-sign/extend who you can, and don't get caught up in the over paying for "talent" hype machine. We all forget the staff/pro personnel dept. know our team and the rest of the NFL players a lot better than we do. And even then, they sometimes sign and whiff.

This draft and develop deal has given us 7 wins a year. Now this year is the beginning of year over year Rams young talent reaching FA. We see how it's affected Seattle only problem is they are winning.

Granted, they need to identify and re-sign/extend their core players. Time will tell if they kept the right ones.

Also, put Keenum on the shesquats and Russell Wilson on the Rams...wonder if that wouldn't change history, for both teams. You could argue a swap of coaching staffs would be in order as well. SEA got a bit lucky with Wilson I contend. I'd like to get some of that "luck" on our team.

I dont like the luck angle. Seattle created their own luck. If Wilson wasn't the guy they would have kept on trying.
Had They have given the starting job to Matt Flynn like the Rams have the job to Foles, who knows what would have happened.

Seattle put in a system that highlighted Wilson's strength's and stuck with it as opposed to Washington with RGIII.
