That article is working on the assumption that Stan will go away quietly when the league says no. I wouldn't automatically assume that. He always seems to be ahead of the game.

I'm surprised with the article. It seems that the author failed to recognize or perform the due diligence on the fine city of Carson as well as Kroenke's business model and the way that NFL games are televised:

1) Carson was one of the 1st cities in California where oil reserves were found (since 1920's). Carson has the 2nd most refineries in the area per population in California.
1a) this has resulted in serious contamination that was so bad, homeowners were told not to eat fruits and vegetables growing on their properties in Carson. Some believed a single bite from the food grown in their gardens could make them seriously sick. Carson has one of the highest rates of cancer in humans in the state URL = http://www.mesothelioma.com/asbestos-ex ... ia/carson/

2) If Raiders and Chargers share LA it will require NFL re-alignment. One of these original AFL teams will need to move from the AFC to the NFC. 2 NFL teams cannot share the same TV market that are in the same conference. (e.g, both Raiders and Chargers will have CBS as their host TV network) NFC teams are hosted by FOX, AFC Teams hosted by CBS. CBS will not be able to broadcast 2 games for both the Raiders and Chargers in the same market......

3) Stan's Mode of Operation (MO) as a team owner for the Denver Nuggets and Arsenal (UK Premier league) is:
3a) Stan owns the team as well as the land, parking and buildings that his teams play on.
3b) Stan owns the Nuggets, the basketball court they play on, as well as the land and parking, same for Aresenal. This IS his business model, thus, that's why he bought 60 acres of land in LA and plans to finance his own stadium and bought additional land to handle the parking.....

The article is a compilation of a lot of old articles from the owners meetings a couple of months ago. Any reporter that says anyone has the votes to block has no clue how the relocation process works. The NFL will decide which team ore teams are going and the vote by the owners will match the recommendation from Goodell. Jason Cole and Vinny quoted Fabiani directly on the votes to block not that the vote would be blocked.

Interesting on how people know Kroneke can't get the votes nesesary to relocate but Spanos/Davis can.

Did they ask all 31 owners individually? Or just ask Mark Fabiani? 8-)

Great post joeMad, and welcome to the board.

ESK has the money, the land and the permits lined up. One thing all the NFL owners understand, and that's money. Stan's plan has the least problems and is the most chance to be done right.

Tinsel town will belong to the swift. The NFL wants this whole thing to happen as quickly and pain free as possible. The two team scenario does not necessarily exclude the Rams. Stan can build and move the Rams and down the road the Chargers can move too but it won't happen. The Raiders are building a practice facility in Oakland so I think we can count them out and as a side note ( do any of you really think LA wants the Raiders with their fans?) and the Chargers will be starting world war three if they were to try and leave SD. If you have never been to SD you won't understand that last statement. Their fans will revolt and the team knows it. The closest project to being green lighted is Inglewood and the least amount of pain from fans will take place in STL. Just what the NFL wants quick and as painless as possible. Walla!!! you have a team in the biggest market in the country. The Rams return home! that's huge!

I haven't seen anything that says the owners would trust Mark Davis with the LA market. They probably all remember what his dad did. They might remember that the NFL had a stadium all ready to go at Hollywood Park and his dad flew the coop.

He's Tommy Boy http://sports.yahoo.com/news/raiders-ow ... --nfl.html
I haven't seen any evidence of Mark doing anything in the business world on his own.

Under Mark, the Raiders have the worst cap floor situation: http://www.silverandblackpride.com/2015 ... lary-floor

I'm betting that the LA market surveys projected soft/mediocre corporate support for the Raiders in LA.

PF Chang's as a daily go to spot, just sounds wrong http://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawakami/2 ... ark-davis/

So, while the pundits are out there commenting about Stan and Dean, maybe they should take a closer look at Mark. The Raiders in LA is not the optimal way for the NFL to "get it right" in LA.

I love you brother but there's no need for links. We all know Raiders are bad for business in LA.
