This is just a byproduct of the information age. We all think that it's been going on forever but in reality, St. Louis JUST lost their team. It's going to take more than a week or two for them(or anyone) to get over losing an NFL team. Much less a team that won it all for your city. Not to mention losing a second team and the future looking bleak.

I don't blame them at all for venting, nor do I think their claims of underhandedness are off base. The Rams should have never been theirs in the first place but I feel no need to twist the knife into those that actually care that they lost the Rams.

The underhandedness of STL was met by greater underhandedness by the NFL,,,,,, and ESK. Glad they are on our side . !

That said,, StLoo just got punked and I am surprised they want to keep drawing attention to themselves.

Our LA perception of where the Rams belong is more in alignment with the rest of the world then in StLoo. Agreed, this team is forever linked to the coolest market in the coolest state in the coolest country in the coolest world in the coolest universe. Rams went from flyoverville rust bucket to elite,, overnight. That thing that we all knew was missing.

LA's and those 20 years were a bit confusing for everyone except those from the 'Loo' (with British accent). Their significant pride has been challenged. Their 'scribes' are wired that way (Miklasz?) which also resonates throughout that region of the country.

I am greatly relieved that this relocation thing is for the most part over,, but I must admit to holding a wee bit of a grudge from the 2o year downgrade. No thanks to Georgia,

I have no problem with the fans ranting on message boards and the like, That is part of the process for them. The St Louis Media isn't helping though by writing these types of articles. To me, It's just to drive readership to their website. They are prolonging the process for them as they keep looking for everyone to blame but themselves. It was the NFL fault  , IT was Grubman's fault  , Stan lied to us  , Demoff lied to us
The honest truth of the situation is that is was their elected leaders fault. Funny how we don't see any articles post move about that.

Missouri panel wants to hear from St. Louis Sports Authority about Rams bid

February 15, 2016 by Mike Lear

The state House Budget Committee will ask this week how and why $16-million was spent on the failed effort to keep the Rams in St. Louis.

The St. Louis Regional Sports Authority has been called to testify Wednesday. Committee vice-chairman Scott Fitzpatrick (R-Shell Knob) said lawmakers want to know about the 16-million dollar effort Governor Jay Nixon (D) backed, to build a new NFL stadium in St. Louis and keep the Rams in town.

“We’re going to be asking them some questions about what they knew, when they knew it, how it could possibly cost $16-million to present a proposal to the NFL and what they got in exchange for the $16-million,” Fitzpatrick told Missourinet.

Fitzpatrick said some questions will be about roughly $900-thousand dollars of that money going to the firm of one of the task force members, Bob Blitz. A bill has been passed out of the state House that would prevent members of task forces and commissions from benefitting from the decisions made by the body they’re on.

Of the $16-million, Fitzpatrick said the single largest amount was more than $10-million to architectural firm HRK.

“That’s an unbelievable sum of money for where we were in the process,” said Fitzpatrick. “To me that seems like the most amount of money you would end up paying somebody – an architect – through the whole construction process.”

Some questions will involve Governor Nixon.

“His involvement in the process and how much direction he gave on how to spend the money and how much money should have been spent on the process,” said Fitzpatrick.

The hearing is Wednesday at 8:15 in a Capitol basement hearing room.

Losing the Rams is going be part of what it means to be a St. Louisan sports fan for probably a long time. I"m sure some of them will wear it with honor.

The truth is, relatively speaking, St. Louis isn't a very attractive NFL market. That's not really anybody's fault.

The Chargers are talking about SD and L.A. The Raiders are talking about Oak, SD, L.A., Las Vegas, San Antonio, Sacramento. Nobody's talking about St. Louis...

True, I do not see the NFL ever going back there. There was a reason they didn't get the expansion team they thought they deserved, They only got the NFL back by making the worst deal in history. I say it's the elected officials fault because they were the ones that signed the lease and they were the ones that knew full well that they were never going to live up to the terms of that lease.
In the end it really doesn't matter does it? The Rams are back home and the St Louis media can write articles for the next 20 years opining how they got "lied to" by the evil NFL. It doesn't effect us one bit :D

Like the tree falling in the woods with no one around to hear it,,,
if not for the internet and message boards, StLoo would be making no noise at all.

I think St. Louis should look at it like this:

Without the top-tier clause they probably wouldn't have gotten the Rams or any other team.

Instead they had 21 more years of NFL football and a Lombardi trophy.

Not too shabby really...

Just read that article. Looking forward to Peacocks disclosures.

And Elvis, doesn't that just frost you that StL could lie their way into our team for 1/3+ of our lives? Thanks to GF of course.
Glad that is over with and I lived long enough to see it.
