And we should attempt to upgrade over Witherspoon. There's a reason he was on the street during the season last year.

or.... do you try and sign someone early and save cap space for future. But I agree they arent done, more bargain shopping now.

The Rams can get more for players that may not figure into this year's plan: Kendrick ($3.2M), D Williams ($6.8M), Parkinson ($3.2M). First one seems a no brainer, other two they may want to keep. I don't know, but it's not like either one was that good last year.

I would really like to see a CB get signed. A lot of the top end CBs got signed yesterday. But there's a few interesting options left: Rasul Douglas, Asante Samuel Jr., Darrius Slay (getting old), and of course Witherspoon. I'm not as high on Witherspoon as most here; he made some great plays, but he gets torched in man coverage. I'd be ok with him, though. Jaire Alexander is available in trade. That would be high risk/high reward move, but I'd do it.

I'd also like to get another backup RB instead of drafting one. Some backups with pass catching ability and speed available: Ty Johnson, Jeremy McNichols, Kenneth Gainwell. Mosert would be interesting if he's still got the long speed.

My preference would be sign a vet CB and draft one on day 2. If there is a guy who grades high in the first round I'd wouldn't mind drafting one then.

But my preference would trading back. The trade calculator has #26 similar value to a mid second and mid 3rd round. Picking up an extra day 2 pick might be a good option. Providing they can find a trade partner. Maybe someone covets a guy and doesn't think he'll make it to the 2nd round?

Hey, Indrid, hope all is well.

CB and ILB are obvious needs. Agree completely with your evaluation of Spoon.

Still some cap space. Hard for us to tell how the Rams evaluate the remaining FA’s, given some dubious decisions last year.

And maybe take a photo while you can. I hear the snowbird may become extinct down there next year, save for those with long-term leases.

Wait on Rozeboom until later as a fall back. Wait on Hummel and Rivers until the RFA deadline as fall backs. Prepare for the draft.

Quoting myself now - With R Boom gone, IlB is a serious need. We have to PS guys and an RFA in Hummel. That’s it.

Can't Speights improve? Seems like he was headed that way. Of course we need depth behind him but kid might surprise us all.

Yes but we need another ILB along side him. One who can destroy the run game and drop into coverage. If the Rams try to run big nickel with a safety in the box, teams like Philly will run all over us…again.
