I think it's pretty obvious that Tutu doesn't really fit in the Ram's long range plans, especially when they draft so well at WR. What is really hurting the Rams is their lack of a good 2nd round pick. Do you think they signed him as a potential for trade bait? If nothing emerges then they have a proven commodity at WR. But $10M is a lot for a parttime WR with average production.

I know without DRob they have the need. But are they really going to start Tutu at Z or Y WR? More likely he would start at Y with Puka and Whittington at X and Z. Something just doesn't compute. He went from a rookie contract of $1.8M in 2024 with 562 yds to $10M and they feel they are overpaying Kupp? IMO this is a very big HUH? moment. He's not a huge scoring threat with his last TD in 2023. All I can think is his speed will be the deep threat they need for Whittington and Kupp to cook in the intermediate zone.

So Tutu running a whole bunch of 9 routes and post routes? All for $10M? Well I hope he scores a bunch of TDs. :shock2:

Well yeah I for one am shaking my head on this one.

WOW! Didn't see this one coming! I think it also shows Sean's willingness to be open to change in his realizing that we truly need some deep speed and we already have one on this team. I like it! The knock on Tutu early on was could he not run routes across the middle, but he does that well now.

Tutu is also pretty good with the deeper out routes. Its not a good route for QB's who don't have strong arms. Stafford has plenty enough arm for it.

Tutu has shown flashes. He can run routes. Make catches. Has the speed to get deep. He just doesn't have any consistency with it. How much was him and how much was the play calling we don't know. I think its safe to assume they plan to incorporate him into the game plan more this year.

I dunno. I thought he was underused last year. He ran good routes and did threaten their secondary on deep routes.

He completely was. He was wide open on just about every route. I wonder now if McVay just wanted to be free of Kupp to really utilize Tutu.

He can run every route. People saying he a deep threat/9-route only guy haven’t paid close attention. He runs over routes, come backs, screens. Slants, post, corner, digs, he can run them all. He’s got strong hands and because of so much motion, he gets clean release a lot of the time. Triple his reps and I bet the correlation is triple the production. He is a very good WR. Just slight in build and playing behind other dudes in 11P. There a lot of things you can do with him and not hurt the run game. MCV seems up for the challenge. Or they woulda let him walk.

I may be in the minority (along with Ramsman34) but I say, "good move". He catches everything thrown his way. He's proven a lot tougher than we thought he'd be early on and he's a deep threat. I don't think this has anything to do with DRob. But don't be surprised if he's signed too. Has his punishment been doled out yet?

How much better is Devante Adam’s than DRob? 10 mil/year?? Not in my eyes, DUI punishment notwithstanding. And no, it has not been adjudicated. Can still go anywhere in the draft and any pick. Don’t overpay for outside free agents. See Jonah Jackson, Tre White.

This guy does so much. Takes the top off. just all the route running. He does things you dont see. His ability to run up the field will make it easier for Puka to work the middle. Also in red zone. Over the top slants pitches lining him up in the backfield I cant wait to see how we incorporate him.

I also think he got so good running down the field. Some guys take longer than other guys to develop. He was always raw.

But hes learning the game. When you line him and Williams up together in the backfield that’s gonna be hard for teams.

Also keep an eye on Omarion Hampton in the draft running back North Carolina University. The kid is fast and big.

Also tight end Arroyo and Taylor we gotta add dynamic speed and explosivenes to this team. With this signing we are doing that.

Tutu is doing alot. Hes more of a Jayden Reed to me. Run down the field and make catches.

I was surprised at how good his hands were making clutch 3rd down catches, and thought he frequently achieved good separation on routes. I often thought he should get more balls thrown his way. I'm glad they signed him.
