MCV said what I have been talking about here. “Gonna look at all aspects of the operation and there might be times when we are going for it on 4th down.” He is very aware of the risk and I am sure he has distances in mind based on warmups and what Blackburn tells him. If we need a FG to win, it’s gonna be risky/lucky to get that win. Kicking game just isn’t reliable.

I blame the miss on the new long snapper, his snap was high and it through the whole timing off. The long snapper did better after that viola so did Lucas. Im good with keeping Lucas as the guy as long as we get consistent snaps. If we would bring a vet onto the practice squad I would be down as well just in case, but not Mason.

Great point. I thought the same thing at the time. High snap, screwed the timing. Hey the kid made 6 out of 7 kicks (3 FG, 3 PATs).

And sometimes, that's exactly what a youngster needs.....to be relied upon and come through in a desperate situation. You know, sorta like the 2023 Rams. Not given much of a shot and coming through....

Tell me how comfortable you will feel in that situation?? But sure, maybe that’s what it will take. Rather not be in that position in the first place.

I have NEVER been comfortable with kicking a FG (from 35 yards out) that will help win a game. Not with Z (and he kicked a 57 yarder to get us into the SB), Gay or anybody else we've had. If this kid came in and didn't miss a kick, I'd still be uncomfortable in a playoff situation or a game to make the playoffs. That's just the way kicking is unless you're from Baltimore. And even Tucker has missed. In a perfect world, it would never come down to a kick. Get the ball in the freakin end zone!!!!

I had definitely noticed from the live broadcast that our new LS does not have as much zip on the ball as our usual LS. The ball comes out quite a bit slower compared to Alex Ward and that's probably part of the "operation" issue too...

Like I said, I know nothing about that black magic. However, it just doesn’t seem that athletic or special of a skillset. I mean there are studly, rock steady cornhole players. There’s gotta be college athletes that demonstrate years of consistent LS under pressure right?

Maybe I’m wrong. I just don’t hear about 1 of a kind HOF LS, sorry.

But i heard after my post that the Rams were trying out LS, so I’m satisfied someone more qualified is looking into this. Lol :D

Crosby just hit a 52 yarder. Not sure if McVay would even LET Havrsik try one that long. 😡😡😡
